You know, GAF seems to be on its last legs in terms of being an actual running site. I get 500 errors 70% of the day time. It's only smooth post-midnight to early AM. I feel lucky to get through 3 pages in a thread without it dying on me.

Yeah. It's not as if the payoffs from the community managers and the SHITLOAD of advertising they get covers anything. I'm guessing their Cafepress store is still the same bullshit with the distinguished mentally-challenged mousepad and the MAF logo. He's not hurting for cash.

I'm guessing EviLore is being stingy. There was some website a while back that showed how much a site was worth in revenue and I think it wound up being about $70,000 a year or more for GAF. I don't know how much it costs to maintain the site but if he is trying to live off of the site, I imagine he is trying to spend as little as possible. He knows people will be there, 500 errors or not.
