Justin Bieber is cool. He's a lot more tolerable than the other teen pop idols lately, like Ke$ha. I'm just amazed he came out of fucking nowhere. Where did he come from? Chance's cover of Lady Gaga's song was good, but does it really deserve 30 million views? Who the fuck is watching all of these videos and how do these guys get so popular so fast without the aid of the likes of mtv and vh1's music video blocks?

It makes no sense. Back in the day, mtv or whatever would hype an artist or whatever after you heard their song on the radio, and then they'd premiere the video with LOTS of hype (weeks even!) and LOTS of fanfare. These kids posts vids on youtube and end up with 30k views in less than a month. wtf.
