Lox, coleslaw, chicken, beer, and red velvet cake. Basically stuff from our holiday luncheon spread. It was catered by Zabar's, an upscale deli in NYC.

Next week we'll have our holiday party at a steakhouse.

Tons of good stuff. Got a nice gift cert to Zingermann's deli, so we've been reveling in awesome cheeses and even awesomer coffee. Got a brisket from some high end texas grill, and I have been trying to heat it up for 2, going on 3 hours now. Damn.

Made fesenjan (with some leg of lamb meat instead of boring chicken) tonight with saffron rice. I would let Iran unleash its weapons of mass destruction all over the US if it meant easier access to persian cooking ingredients.
