Such a great title......it's a shame they had to waste it on a project like this.  Sometimes you see a trailer and you have to wonder who in the hell a film is being made for.  If it's for children, it's too smarmy and has no likable or relatable characters.  If it's for adults, it's just entirely too stupid.  Also, it looks like Brendan Fraser has come down with Vince Vaughn syndrome.....with every movie he's 10 pounds heavier and gets hit in the crotch at least 3 times.

As I said, it's more that the movie doesn't go far enough for kids, but is too stupid for adults.  There's no relatable characters for children -- maybe if the animals actually talked or something that'd make it more kid-friendly.

It's also really weird that they included the main character's big turnabout/revelation in the trailer itself ("You were just trying to protect your family")....not that anyone is really in suspense about how the plot will turn out, but more because it doesn't do anything to make you want to see the film.

I like Brendan Fraser. He's a guilty pleasure, I guess. His comic timing's pretty good and he seems like he's probably not a jerk, so I put him in the same category as Keanu Reeves. It's a little saddening to see he's put on so much weight though; he was something else in George of the Jungle.  :-*

The way the announcer says "You can't escape...the furry" just sends shivers down my spine.

The Quiet American

Word.

Plus he's always entertainingly goofy on talk show appearances, which are the basis of ~90% of my summary judgments of celebrity worth.
