people who bought this game at launch and got that mystery code, they revealed what you get: free copy of Red Faction Guerrilla (for your console of choice) and an art book/making of CD. And by free I mean $5 shipping cost.

I'm 100% with you, slime. It's a decent enough game that plays well, but it just feels uninspired and didn't keep me wanting to play. The rather poor visuals and sluggish framerate didn't help either. Was a solid 30 fps too much to ask in a game like this?!

Just got done playing the Darksiders demo.

Sluggish controls, alright combat (similarly to god of war, it has oodles of combat and gore but is lacking in depth), and decent puzzles.

It seems like a solid enough package but not impressive enough I want to play more.

Same here. Plus I got motion sickness for some reason. I shouldn't be getting that in a 3rd person game. Is it because of the framerate?

for the sequel they should

- scrap the challenge rooms at the beginning, really screws with the pacing
- add another dungeon instead
- no more dungeons the length of the Black Throne please. Maybe length is the wrong word, it's more like... repetitiveness. The paths to the 3 beams had the same structure and at the end I was really getting sick of that place.
- take a good look at the controls. cross blade = clunky, dash with RB feels weird

I really liked it in general though! A sequel should be fun.

I was feeling repetitiveness in the first room which had three swords to collect. I thought, "Oh, c'mon..."

Those challenge rooms weren't bad though; I thought they were a way to force-feed a tutorial on the player, so I was actually kind of impressed.

PC screens are way sexy. Though somehow it seems less bloom-intense than the console version, and that bloom is what gives it that Joe Mad / Image signature color feel. Liquid!-esque.

I've been having trouble going back to this title. I'm stuck just before whatever that starts-with-a-T demon is; I'm beginning to forget where I was and what I'm supposed to do. Also, aim-toggle feels inconsistent and in need of constant management, which is a bitch on Hard.

Ignoring all the zelda stuff I just think its pretty fun and its pushing me forward to complete which I can't say for a lot of games. And it's pretty polished for what on the face of it would be seem like a B level game.

Why do you say it's a B-level game? It's pretty muck reeking of quality across the board, except that it's not particularly original. And if we ding them for that, everything EA produces is B-level.

I meant more that last year when it was released it sort of looked like a B grade game from the outside looking in. It was released during a dead part of the year. I hadn't heard of the devs before. And it got very little traditional promotion. It sort of screamed b grade from the way it was handled. That's my mistake of course for viewing it that way. And I've always still sort of looked at it that way. That's why its so refreshing for me that it isn't b grade. It feels as polished as anything from a typically big dev and more so on the gameplay side.

This game is the best 3D Zelda ever made, hands-down. Don't even question playing it.

I can't wait for the sequel. Darksiders is pretty much the culmination of everything my teenage self thought was bad ass in the late 90s. It works out because my tastes haven't changed. It's bloody, loud, excessive, and a blast to play. The voice acting is top notch. Ole Volgim is probably my favorite character. Plus it gets bonus points for having Mark Hamill in its cast.

Darksiders 2 looks so unbelievably good.
