Good DS games for a nine year old boy?

So my brothers birthday is in a few weeks and since I have some extra cash I was thinking about getting him a DS or do you guys think the DSi is worth the additional $40? I'd like to get him some legitimately good games and ones that are fairly simple to operate. He likes superheroes (specifically Iron Man as he'll be having an Iron Man themed birthday), explosions, Star Wars and other typical boy stuff.

Get him the Zelda DS games. Most 9 year olds have shitty taste in gaming, so he'll like those.

Web of Shadows DS is fun, yeah.  And for Star Wars, the Episode 3 game was a fairly standard 2D beat em up with fairly standard 3D space battle sections; not great, but not bad either.

I was going to suggest and say against Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ for the same reasons, I mean, it's rated teen and all that.  But other than being a fun game, it sells for only $5 at Gamestop if you can find it.

Chrono Trigger + a GameFAQs guide. I think I managed that when I was around the same age.

edit: Actually I know I did, because somewhere I still have my 3rd grade journal entry with crude stick figure images of my battle with Lavos lol

ehy that reminds me,what about chibi robo ds? it's kinda stupid and simple (go around,play music to plant new flower,water them,repeat) but i still liked it,it kinda reminded me of donald duck playground in style,you do stupid stuff and you get rewarded with gimmick toys and you get to meet funny characters (like the snowboarding penguins who are mascots of a soda)
