Bollywood in 2010 Part 1: The Wii
« on: December 31, 2009, 01:25:16 PM »
An early glimpse of the 2010 Wii lineup reveals a pretty strong line-up, especially relative to the two previous years. Here are just a few samples of at what will undoubtedly turn out to be the best home console lineup for 2010:

Arc Rise Fantasia

Calling

Dragon Quest X
No Images

Endless Ocean 2

Epic Mickey

Fatal Frame 4: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

Kirby Wii

Mega Man 10
No Images

Metroid: Other M

Monster Hunter Tri

No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

Project Needlemouse

Red Steel 2

Sadness

Shiren the Wanderer

Sin & Punishment 2

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll

Tales of Graces

The Grinder

The Legend of Zelda Wii

Trace Memory 2

In part 2, I'll post a brief look into the DS lineup for 2010. I'll disregard posting upcoming games for the other systems (Xbox 360 and PS3), because no one gives a shit about second and third place winners, so why should I? I've not included movies or a number of other potentially blockbuster titles to this list, but for an OP, I think this will suffice in proving all doubters that the Wii juggernaut will continue to pump out classics.

You have any official confirmation from the developers that this game will not be released? If not, then I think we should refrain from labeling it as Vaporware. It will be out in 2010, my sources assure me of this.

Nibris itself is practically [or literally?] vaporware.

That actually does sound like an okay lineup for the Wii, but lets see if even a third of these end up being good.

Here are just a few samples of at what will undoubtedly turn out to be the best home console lineup for 2010:

grinder will probably be an awful game which i will still enjoy

metroid looks pretty cool

i like 1930s cartoons, so epic mickey looks all right to me

i should give mario galaxy another shot, i didn't care for it much and stopped playing

will wait for word of mouth on red steel 2, if it isn't a busted piece of shit like the first i'll give it a try

i can't get over the lead character in no more heroes looking like a giant douchebag enough to play it

Who are your sources? True, there's no evidence that this game won't be released, but there's also no evidence that it will be released. There's nothing. The game is textbook vaporware.

Besides, wasn't it discovered a long time ago that Nibris consists of like five 15 year olds in a basement in Poland?

No fucking way DQX or Zelda will be released in 2010. We'll be lucky if we even get media out of either of those games. And hopefully we'll get Tales of Graces over here, it's supposed to be one of the better games in the series, but Namco hasn't even announced it for the US yet :P

Is it too eary to choose "the enitre wii catalogue" as worst game of 2010?

I'm only looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy 1.5 and Fatal Frame IV.

One of the worst line-ups I've ever seen.

90% of these games would be considered shovelware if they were on PS3/360.  I'm serious.  Look at that game Darksiders; 9/10 reviews across the board, yet barely anyone knows about it because the PS3/360 catalog is filled to the brim with awesome games.

Hell, I'd take PSN/XBLA's offerings over the entire Wii library this gen.

Main man, I've seen artwork and gameplay images revealing the existence of this game. It does exist and it will be released. The developers themselves have said this title is very much still in the game. So the burden of proof is on you, Jack: who in any official capacity has said that this game wasn't going to be released? Where are your quotes?

I doubt that is true. If they came out with something that reflected the concept art, "Epic Mickey" if you will, it could probably do quite well. There are enough manchildren and parents with 360s (and PS3s) to support it on that platform, and then you can probably add a bunch of dudes swept up by nostalgia and the whole dark, twisted thing.

Whatever, though. I have no idea if the above is true or how it will do on Wii. It's personally disappointing to see grand things squashed by the garbage Wii. I can't really blame the developer since the above was leaked, but spitting on Wii helps a bit.

This lineup here will help keep the Wii the #1 system this generation, so while you're drooling over review scores of games that won't ever achieve the level of success the Wii and its top games have seen, I'll be one of the tens of millions playing the sort of "shovelware" that's laughing at you and store shelf dust-collecting titles like Darksiders all the way to the bank.

You HD cocksuckers wouldn't get your panties in a bunch about sales-age rhetoric as much if you people actually bought video games. There is no reason why the top 10 software of this gen is occupied predominantly by Nintendo titles. Blame yourselves for talking a big game about HD titles but when they're released, you fuckers are nowhere to be seen, which is why HD sales this gen are embarrassingly dwarfed by the Wii. I actually buy games, not talk shit about buying games on forums such as this one.

That's why I couldn't care less if you downplay these great upcoming Wii titles. If these companies were in the business of catering to fickle outliers like you, they'd be bankrupt. So fuck your tastes.

if nibris somehow ever released a game, it would provide an untenable idea that poles might be capable of something other than self-defecating at the sight of germans, reading at a first-grade level, and spreading genital diseases to the world's supply of thai ladyboys, and that's a risk we can't afford to even SLIGHTLY tolerate
