Only like, 3 weeks to go!

What are you hoping to see in this game, the sequel to the greatest game ever made?

Im hoping for Garrus to sleep nude in an oxygen tent, which he believes will give him sexual powers!

I thought the driving controls were fine. It wasn't as if you ever had to race. Agreed with pretty much everything else but even if all these faults were repeated and it were just a continuation of ME1, I'd still be all over it. I'm not really expecting much more meaningful content. Maybe less cut and paste and procedurally-generated planets but I'm sure it will be similar in length to ME1. It's pretty easy for them to draw a line under anything halfway finished and say 'ok, that stuff is going into Mass Effect 3'.

Yeah, I thought the Mako controlled just fine too. The only problem I had with it is that driving over MOUNTAINS was a complete pain, and that's what virtually every side planet consisted of.

it's not the driving that pissed me off, recharging this fuck of a car takes days for no goddamn reason.

Question: should I play on 360 or on the PC?

360 - couch, projector, 5.1 sound, ME1 save carries over

PC - Unreal games look insanely better on the PC, improved UI, faster load times, mouse+keyboard control (bigger deal in ME2)

Despite having just upgraded my PC, I'm leaning towards returning to the 360 well on this one ... thoughts?

I guess i benefited from reading many many many interest posts about how all the sidequests were garbage, and just skipped most of them. Pretty sure this contributed greatly to my enjoyment of the game. Less grinding meant more interesting/challenging combat too.

I'm sure there will be a respec mod fairly soon. There's probably just some .txt file that configures everything.

Pretty tough choice though. You know the end of the console gen is nigh when these conversations take on increasing weight. New PC coming for me soon!

yeah, there's no save editor ... wish there was one that just let me create a character then flag my major plot decisions for an ME2 import

I just realized that I never had got it on with anyone in ME1. Do I get my money back?

I think I was getting there with Ashley but I let her die, ho ho ho.

Save-transferring isn't confirmed for the PC version of ME2? Wtf.

Also, I read in GI that ME2 let's you drive the Normandy 2 around space and you have to replenish your fuel as you go. Personally not too fond of that idea.

I had separate paragon and renegade saves and managed to do the sexual encounter with ALL THREE of the females, granted one was a prostitute I had to haggle with though.  The weirdest thing about Mass Effect 2 is that your romantic partner (if there is one) from the first game is still in a relationship with shephard and so now you can choose whether or not to cheat on them.  I wonder if they're going to have an abstinence achievement?

You did all three playthroughs of the first game in a week or 20 hours?  No fucking way.

First game I took my time, then for the other two plays I ran through as quickly, while quickly ending quests (Just saying no to them counts as completion).

At most, 40 hours for 1000 overall.

Has BioWare mentioned how it'll handle transferring the appearance of your old character to ME2? Do you get to remake your character or does it carry over your character's physical characteristics?
