As a fan of the books, I still worry about the movie though. I can't be the only one who'd prefer an animated tv series on Adult Swim than a live action movie, can I? I mean, we're talking about comic books where the main character says things like,"Hey, I just played the bassline from Final Fantasy IV's battle song!"

Can you imagine hearing something like that in a live action movie? No, this needs to be a cartoon. Especially the fights where Scott fights the boyfriends.

I mean, the band's name is Sex Bob-omb.

Yeah, that's what I like about the series (and that I hope the movie expands on) - that as "hilarious" as the hipster wackery and nerdy in-jokes are, by the time you're hitting 24 it stops being goofily charming and starts being obnoxious and childish
