Is there just a certain age you hit where talk shows suddenly become funny? I have incredibly flexible standards for comedy, but I've yet to successfully sit through an entire Conan/Leno/Carson/Letterman/Fallon show.

Don't tell anyone, but Ferguson is honestly the "funniest" out of all of the late night dudes. I still like Dave the best because he's what I hope to be when I grow up- successful, cranky, purposely freezing out of town yokels in his studio and banging chicks half his age.

I've only been watching Conan for the past two years mostly because I just wouldn't stay up too late before that. Conan doesn't really come off smooth in his monologues. He tends to stutter and and does that annoying thing with his hands too often.

Agreed on Letterman being the best interviewer. He did a pretty good job when Bill O'reilly and McCain were on his show.

I think Conan is the only one to be able to save a failed joke though. Which is, admittedly, a lot of them, but that's one of the reasons Conan's my favorite and has been for years: he knows late night comedy is stupid, and he doesn't hide this knowledge.

That's actually true. Everybody I know just watches clips of his show instead of the whole thing.

I typically DVR the show and watch the first half.
