The best feeling after a rebuild/restoration is that completion drive. It's like Goddamn! But I think that's a great feeling with any car work, doing that completion drive. I remember after I installed my headers and exhaust on my Vette. Pushing that goddamn button and hearing her purr instead of that pussy ass stock exhaust, I seriously got shivers down my spine. Then I pulled out into the street, slammed it in first and heard her scream. I seriously got hard.

Thanks! I'm not getting my hopes up too high. I had my heart set on a 78 Firebird last week, but then the day I was going to trek up to Huntsville to buy it, I call the guy and he says 'Oh I'm sorry. I sold it last night.' I was heartbroken.

i bought a brother laser printer, brother

i was gonna buy some refill carts for my inkjet, but it was like $40 for a two-pack

the laser printer was discounted to $60 and came with a 1,000 page starter toner (the replacement toner is only $31 on amazon, too)

i mainly print in b&w anyway

Been on something of a shopping binge lately; here is some of the more interesting stuff I've picked up.

Bodum double-walled glass coffee mug:

This thing is AWESOME. It's my 2nd. They're pretty expensive for a mug but buying a new one when my old one got broken was a no-brainer. The double-wall effectively makes this a vacuum. The coffee stays piping hot, but the mug itself is cool to the touch. But unlike a flask-type mug, there is no nasty aluminum taste.

Vibram Five Fingers KSO shoes

These are basically Hobbit feet, except not so hairy. It's just like being barefoot except your soles are tough and protected.

Do-win weightlifting shoes:

Being doing nothing but heavy lifting lately so these seemed like a good investment. They feel super stable.

My wife is starting up an online store and we need to take lots of pictures of products. Tripod seemed like the way to go.

The Pleasures of Cooking for One by Judith Jones

One of the few cookbooks I've seen that is actually tailored for single serving portions. For stuff that is very difficult to make for one person, such as soups and such, Jones gives second and third day recipes to vary things up. Jones is the longtime Knopf editor whose worked with Julia Child and other well known chefs, so she has a great pedigree.

Jeanne D'Arc , from the reviews, seemed like it was sort of a simpler game. I did order Disgaea 2 and Yggdra Union on the JRPG front based off Drinky's recommendation. Wasn't sure about how well the FFT port was so I didn't pick it up despite being like $10.

edit: I've got R-Type Command coming in the mail.
