I didn't even know that there's a Fist of the North Star Musou. How does that work? Doesn't the main character just have small scale skirmishes in the manga/anime?

He fights thugs too, but the important stuff is centered around 1-on-1 fights. This game is supposed to be different than the typical Musou. I don't even see Omega Force's name anywhere in the game. It appears to have an open-world style game play element to it. I've seen videos of Kenshiro riding a motorcycle around! There is a story mode where you play as Kenshiro and apparently Mamiya and Rei too, then other more standard modes where you can play as the other characters...

...so I'm told. I just finished installing it but I have to leave now. :'( Kenshiro is the only character you can play from the beginning.

Will post about it once I get to play. Concerned about things moving too slowly, but fucking around in the training mode for a second, it seems okay. Blood n' gore is intact, exloding heads abound!

Went shopping with the new Mrs G for furniture as well as some much needed household stuff.

Ended up getting a new couch, chair, coffee table, end table, and ottoman.

This is what the couch looks like:

Then we went to another furniture store and got a new tv stand

we got this same one but in an espresso color

After that we went to Kmart and picked up

38.72 after tax

Sadly its on PS3 but I plan to take it to sears to exchange for 360 version

We then later headed to Costco and finally got a monitor for the computer thats not had one for over a year. We ended up getting the Samsung P2450h it looks fucking OMG awesome with 2ms timing and freaking all my inputs i'm stoked

While we were there we picked up some tenderloin and filet mignon to go with my awesome new Calphelon Hard Anodized Grill pan

I'm done shopping for a while now.

He's still here, we're both on his ass about getting his life together. He got a judgement from Social Security Disability and was denied his appeal. So he's got a court date with a judgement official. Then if he doesn't get his shit together after that he's out!

I've been thinking about getting a mini of some kind, mainly because my home theater setup that I'm planning (for when I move out) would require one. I just bought the newegg deal of the day yesterday, which was a thinclient PC barebones with gigabit wireless etc etc, which was dirt cheap, plus a HDD and RAM for it, which I'd have behind my TV, then stream movies to it and control it with a mini from the couch via RDP, all the while pulling the actual files from the upstairs file server. Mann, I can't wait. Especially since I have a 48-port gig switch to use as the main connection to pull files, so it'll be fast enough to stream with no problem.

And just to add to the WDYB, I got pizza.

The keyboard is like 92% the size of a regular one, so it feels great. Not having any problems with the touchpad either. It's also nice to have TWO buttons on the touchpad unlike on my MacBook.

It's pretty nice and does what I want it to. My only question right now is why I am unable to get 720P Youtube videos to play smoothly. I know it can do them...there's videos of the netbook playing Youtube content at that resolution! Plus I tried a 720P video of my own and it played with no issues. It's weird.

It would work for that as long as you aren't concerned with 1080P content. The Mini can't handle that very well. It played a 1080P video I tried smoother than expected, but it would stutter every now and then. Doesn't bother me since I can always use my 360 or PS3 for that and 98% of all the stuff I watch is up to 720P anyway.

You might be interested in getting one of those mini media players that lets you attach USB devices to them. I got the Seagate and it pretty much does everything that you need. The Asus and WD have gotten many great reviews as well.

I won't actually be playing it on the mini, just using some sort of remote management software like Dameware or VNC to control the thinclient attached to the TV. It has HDMI output, so I'm optimistic.

Using the thinclient though, I'd be able to hook up a keyboard/mouse if I really wanted to and have a computer for whatever, or just control it from the mini and still have a computer that I could do just about anything I wanted on, other than gaming. I'd have a desktop for that.
