Depends on the corner. I'm bad at explaining things, but at least in the older versions of the game, one technique was like: there is a right turn that is like a U. Before you get to the turn, you go a bit left to the outside, then turn to try and get close to the apex, and you should come out fine on the other side.
I don't know how it would work in real life but that is how it worked in the game. The physics are unique and the it takes getting used to. Point I was trying to make was that the camera is meant to give you a good view even if you are doing unusual moves like that, so if you drive it like a regular racing game, it tricks you into thinking it is looser than it actually is.
