bought this, total though was exactly 1231 with about 60 in mir's.

not sure how i feel about this, since that money could've been used traveling or on some good liquor... but it has been nearly six or seven years since i've built this pc. the time had come.

oh well, free games!

edit: welp word on the street is that it's too slow for physx processing so i'll be returning it. i didn't really do all that much research though i did fairly well with my choices i assume.

I was disappointed in RONIN when it came out. On the other hand, Elektra Lives was probably the best resurrection story in comics. Too bad they blew it with her afterward.

You need to give Ronin a re-read, then. I've probably read it upwards of ten times and it gets better and better. The more familiar you are with its antecedents, the better it gets. It was absolutely shocking to me when it first appeared - there was nothing else like it outside of French and Japanese comics.

PS3 remote

G700 mouse

I was getting tired of using my PS3 controller for watching blu-ray movies and saw it was $10 at Radioshack, so I picked it up. It's nice that it's bluetooth and you don't need to point it at the ps3, but it is gigantic for a non-universal remote. There are doubles for many buttons because they needed to color both PS3 and remote buttons, except the PS3 buttons already function as remote buttons. It was also nice of the Radioshack guy to try and sell me AAA batteries for it when the remote included the two required AA batteries.

The G700 is awesome because it's wireless (though you can plug it in and make it data wired) and has a ton of buttons. Pretty expensive at $75 (on sale from $100) and it doesn't have that logitech anywhere surface stuff that was to compete with the microsoft any surface laser. That's a bit weak.

I paid US$30 for my PS3 Remote. :'(

Be aware that pushing just about ANY button on that thing from within 30' of the PS3 itself will turn the PS3 on. Not just the power button, but the select button, direction keys... anything. It's kind of a PITA when you're used to really having to work to get an infrared remote to do what you want.

wow, no kidding. I think I just looked at it the last night and it turned on my ps3. That's a bit inconvenient. There are like a billion buttons on it so why not put on a dedicated on/off one?

Push any button to turn it on, but to turn it off you have to hit the PS button, then hit enter to shutdown system, then hit enter again to select yes you really want to shutdown system.

thats silly, the only real training you need when you carry a lethal option with you is something called escalation of force, i have a series of unlock codes in my head that would have to get ticked off before i let someone even become aware that im armed, if i take my knife out someone is getting cut, and probably at that point im aiming for your jugular, i guess the only other thing to know is never let your knife get taken from you, i have some knives that make it virtually impossible for you to get killed by your own

and i would never get in a knife fight, both of you are going to get gashed, id just book it

ive never done any knife training, i know of some weapon retention courses, but they focus on handguns, the only place that i know of where you can get good knife training is in the military, i do know some stuff about momentum in fights, im actually a brown belt in kempo

they do a lot of stuff with that
