for the price, size and quality of a bravia that's a non issue. Most people don't seem to care IMO.

Potentially outing myself as A Big Stupid here, but 60Hz mean the screen is refreshed 60 times in a second, so you're looking at straight 60fps display right there. Sure, I've played on 120Hz displays on PC and I can see the difference clearly, easily... those games are built to display at whatever my rig could handle. If it was able to handle 60+ fps, it would show it, life was good.

But if a game is locked to 60fps on 360 or PS3, there is -no- advantage to owning a 120Hz display, is there?

Depends on the set. some of them do that motion plus shit (which I personally hate) that makes it seem like it's at a fast fps to some people. It just looks fucking weird to me.

Never saw the 240hz, but after seeing BluRays running on a 120hz I wouldn't think of buying a 60hz set.

I have a friend like this, and he also cranks the sharpness to max. I never say anything because he can do what he wants to his own TV but it really is horrifying.

Yeah, after I posted my thoughts, I read up a little, and ghosting seems like the only advantage a 120Hz set would have over a 60Hz one. Meh. 700 dollaz worth of meh.

My friend accidentally had it on his set when I went over there to watch Dexter one night. No one noticed how fucking annoying and unatural it looked but me. It's like everything was moving fast, yet they weren't. Luckily I found out how to put it back to its normal settings about 15 mins into the episode. 22 inch LG TV (got it free, thanks to years of points accumulated on a department store rewards card)

and

which I got on sale cheap.

The idea is to set these up out at the cottage for when the guys come over to play 360 system linked. No more hauling around giant old CRT tv's. Now, with what I already have, everyone will have a nice, HD screen and they won't be a pain in the ass to move around. Now I just need to get a set of good 360 VGA monitor cables.
