My guess would be ebay, for those 500$ Pandoras? I'm one of the criminally insane preorder guys that gave Craigix their money when he didn't even have a single prototype ready. So I've been waiting for two or three years now.

Disclaimer: Right now it's not for "the masses". It's a portable Linux machine, and a reasonably powerful and feature-rich one at that. Only buy one if you have a clear goal in mind, it's not worth it if you just want to play emulators and have a grand ol' time. Yet. The software side of the thing is still in beta, and some parts show it. Others are surprisingly polished by now.

I remember eyeballing one of these back when they were announced, and getting all HARDWARE FEVER about the possibilities these would have. I also didn't know squat about Linux (still really don't, outside of what it is), nor the amount of time it would take to actually get these actually manufactured, so I'm kinda glad I never bit the bullet and ordered one. I would have lost my mind waiting that long.
Still very cool though, I'll have to start checking up on these again to see how they do. I always find these sorts of things incredibly interesting.

Openpandora is many things. It's a way for me to

It's an open source handheld. Look at this here webpage (or here) for details. Basically, it's a netbook that went on a diet and got abducted by aliens to be crossbred with a DS phat.

I "only" paid 250€, but I hear the price has gone up and new customers are now expected to shell out roughly 350€ for the thing. I'm so awesome, saved 100€ by spending 250. ... I sould be a CEO or something.

Workplace. You had to enter in a code and your work e-mail to get it.

After playing around with it, it seems like it could be a great package of software. I like how they didn't ditch the 2007 Ribbon type of menus. I knew of quite a few people who hated it and I never understood why.

I loved learning how to break down each one of my rifles and handguns and I love how easy it is. My Makarov comes apart in about in 30 seconds.

i actually ended up getting a cz phantom instead, which i am very happy with especially after shooting it and a p95 back to back last night

the cz is a pain in the dick to get apart, you have to rack the slide a bit to line a dot on the slide with a line on the frame, then hold it there while you punch out the slide stop

I own a .223, Remington 12 gauge, Remington .270, chinese sks and a 30.06.

The sks has killed people too! The sks is the AK47's older brother and I love shooting it. the basic design is really similar and when I shot an AK it didn't feel much different. So I would highly suggest the AK (or even sks) if you're looking for a good cheap, fun rifle.

yeah im not going to settle for less than a rifle with a 30 round magazine and the 74 ammo is cheaper than 9mm and is equal to 556 in accuracy and actually outperforms it when it comes to shooting people. thanks for the suggestion but needless to say im dead set on one being my first rifle

is that remington 12 gauge an 870? im planning on getting a mossberg 590 after i get the rifle
