yeah I was debating about it seeing as the graphics card was the most expensive item out of the bunch. Unfortunately they didn't have the other graphics card I wanted. I have no problem paying what I did for now to at least get me back into pc gaming.

I missed out on the bundles they offered in january when sandybridge launched so they gave me a crap load of incentives to come back and buy from them. Between bundles, coupons, mir's, and instant rebates I made out like a bandit.

By the way what are some of the better thermal greases out there? I know there have been some advancements in the tech in the last few years.

The case is freaking beautiful I can't wait to actually have it in my hands though.

It's my birthday today, so I got enough money to swap my Xbox 360 for the new model with the 250 GB hard drive and built-in WiFi. Gamestop is selling refurbished models for $250, maybe I'll take a chance on that.

I also got a $50 Best Buy gift card, I'm going to get the Super Mario 25th Anniversary compilation for Wii and You Don't Know Jack for X360, since the latter is on sale and I have a 10 percent off Reward Zone coupon.

This one has guest characters from Ys and other games though, so that's kind of cool. Will dungeon crawl as Adol.

Its funny that 1155 doesn't support triple channel kinda stupid if you ask me but you get the added functionality and speed from the onboard controller in sandybridge.

Not top of the line, but it definitely helped my COD game. They are pretty comfortable too as I wore them for 3 hours straight. I'd take them off in between matches sometime though to cool off. Bass boost make explosions sound great. Very little outside noise gets in. I'd recommend these, but I'm sure there are better and more expensive ones out there.

Don't get the X41's. They're mega overpriced and the "simulated surround sound" doesn't sound very good at all. The X31's were a good choice. Personally I'm just going to be using the new Sennheiser headphones I bought plugged into a 3.5mm headphone jack-to-RCA cable adapter. Screw voice chat, I don't need that crap.

That weird pair of Olympus EyeTrek personal theater goggles was sitting around, so I monkeyed around with it until I got my PS2 hooked up. The goggles are kind of crap! There is nothing black about the darks; it starts at about 50% grey and gets brighter. However, this gives me an option to play my PS2 games when I can't get on the living room TV for anything else.

Regular RCA/patch cables resulted in a scrambled picture and a loud buzzing feedback in the headphones. I had to use my PS2 S-video cable in to the goggles' control module for video, and the RCA-to-unified-video-jack for the audio. It works though!
