Bought and returned today. I wanted to downgrade to a 22" because my aging eyes get tired scrolling across a 24" for games like Dragon Age. Also, my monitor is 3yrs old so I thought that a new monitor would probably have better image quality.

Unfortunately, this monitor has really nasty backlight bleeding. One bottom corner is completely cloudy during any dark scene. Other than that, the image quality is excellent. Consoles work great on this monitor. The upscaling is so good that 720P almost looks like 1080p. I guess I'll just have to wait for the next reiteration to get rid of all the bugs.

Ordered this a few weeks ago but it just arrived today. It's a giant-ass (91cm x 65cm) canvas reproduction of the cover of Fantastic Four #51, by the immortal Jack Kirby.

You might remember the Brendan McCarthy painting I bought a while back, on the left:

The rest of the room is a mess right now, thanks to my wife dumping all manner of shit in there. Can't wait to get it cleaned up. It's just about done, functionally and decoration-wise.

It's a Denon, part of a set I've had for years. This room is pretty small (my home office) so it's more than big enough. I always remove the grills. It looks fairly stylish there I guess but it is literally just wedged between the TV and the wall behind it with an old t-shirt propping it up

I bought the Hong Kong Blu-ray release last Summer. Absolutely fantastic (anime) film.

I just watched it (4th time seeing the movie), great video/sound quality blu-ray but I'm guessing the HK release is better because YOU CAN'T TURN OFF THE SONG SUBTITLES. Which is super annoying to me as a nit-picky fan of animation since the vocal songs are in some major major animation scenes and they cover up the animation

Still, it's a lot cheaper so I can't complain too much and everything else is good.

Might go HK version for movie #3

Blue Underground has been indispensable for blu ray releases. they remind me of Anchor Bay at the outset of DVD before they went down hill

Got a 4th gen 64gb Ipod Touch to replace the 30gb 5th gen Ipod Video the misses had which vanished into the night. Our new kitten might have been the culprit by knocking it into the trash one day.
