the standard leather case is pretty classy but i kinda wanted something a little flashier so i can make sure everyone knows HEY LOOK AT ME. I AM READING. I'M CULTURED. only draw back is no light but i can just switch it back to the leather one if i'm reading it at night

I disassembled a ¥2000 Chinese-made bug-zapper so I could auto-assassinate the mosquitoes which bit me four times last night. The thing was clearly meant to become landfill and replaced, but no. The light had died and it had been unplugged because the fluorescent flashing was going to drive me to epilepsy.

When I presented the bulb to the clerk in the light store, she said, "Oh, here's the same one, but it's a different maker. Panasonic instead of Toshiba..."

Of course when I get home, and get the whole lamp put back together, it turns out it's a white fluorescent lamp and not black, like the one I was replacing. So I'll have a well-illuminated room to sleep in for the next three months.

Yep, and I'm sure JP version doesn't have English, and the NA version doesn't have Japanese.

That US packaging is just too shitty for me to deal with. Also, language doesn't matter for either of those games. The main issue is that the JP version is ¥7000 vs the US $39.99.

I'm thinking about picking up an iPad 2 but I might just wait until they're able to be jailbroken. I've bought a shitload of games for the iPhone but those would be the regular, non-iPad versions. I don't feel like shelling out the money again to get the HD versions for the iPad.

So basically yea, I'm waiting until I can illegally download games on the iPad 2 before I get one (that and they're sold out everywhere).

I'm also thinking about jumping in with the Buy 2 games for $50 deal at Toys R Us so I can trade one in. I'm thinking Mortal Kombat and a game to trade in.

This monitor is sex. I'm seeing colors I never knew existed before since my old one was apparently a piece of crap. I can actually run games at reasonable frame rates when using anti-aliasing with this new graphics card too! Big upgrade from my old 8800 GT.

That is pretty slick. Great contrast ratio. It has HDMI so I could run my 360 off this monitor, correct? I want to have my PC and 360 running off the same monitor.

No speakers. Hrm, you'd probably have to use an optical cable to your receiver to get audio. Something like that. Separate speakers.

be warned - it might not work due to the HDCP bullshit. With my Alienware monitor, I got sound with my PS3, but not from my 360. It's a total crapshoot.

Is it really small on the inside? One of the things about the Mini that surprised me was how roomy it was for the front two passengers (backseat is a bit small, but nothing crazy for a compact or two door car).

I'm about 5'6", and I can fit with room to spare. As long as you avoid the sunroof, you'll be fine. The trunk is okay, 10 cubic feet with the rear seats up, about 30 with the rear seats down.

Bought Rockstar's PSP Beatarator for 8 bucks new on Amazon.

I picked this up at the same time to drive a couple of Bose 141s I've owned FOREVER and haven't had hooked up for maybe 5 years. Apparently these T-amps are "the shiznit" -- very reasonable prices and superb performance, based on some tripath chip thingie. I don't know ANYTHING about electronics, so I'm hoping this 20w amp will drive the 40w speakers.

Anyone know?
