Wife got back from the States today, brought a stack of stuff for me.

In it, it turns out I've got TWO copies of Splinter Cell: Conviction... Apparently I failed to check my order particularly thoroughly.

Also have a copie of Gears of War 2 Complete Collection, which I didn't order, and am now wondering if it was swapped in for something else. I can only assume that it's a mistake in the order fulfillment, or it's a present, and someone at Gamestop said "This is hot" while giggling under their breath. I've got, like, negative interest in the series. And GOW2's camera is weird for me, so just the tutorial made me nauseous.

Anywho, I'll post a picture of The Full Monty shortly.

That's right, 2X because Tom Clancy is 2Xtreme!

Also, it turns out the GOW2 Complete Collection was a free giveaway with the cellphone rental at LAX. Since I'm the only guy in Japan with an Xbox 360, they gave it to me.

Upgrading from what is now known as the Kindle Keyboard. Cheapy D talked me out of waiting for a Touch ('it adds nothing, and this is smaller, lighter and cheaper') and not interested much in a Fire right now (iPad rules all in this house, and will be day 1 on an iPad 3). Maybe down the road, after it brings down prices across the board and has a few more key features.

I still haven't played Rorona. But it's a series, like Trials in the Sky, that I'd like to get to someday since the gameplay sounds very refreshing and the art is pretty good in Totori/Meruru, so I might as well collect the games while they're still in print runs.

That's the TWO copies of Splinter Cell I mentioned. I tried a little Zumba already; not sure if I'm going to play it a bunch or just rub one out daily to the chica on the cover.

It turns out the Gears of War 2 game was a giveaway with my wife's cellphone rental, which I mentioned. Everyone at my work is accustomed to xbox games selling for ¥8000, even older titles will still go for ¥3000 yen or so; they're blown away by the concept of a giveaway like this.

The two books, a Maya guide and Rules of the Red Rubber Ball, are both focused on my upcoming job switch. I'm a little nervous, but I think it's all going to work out well after the dust settles.
