switch to prepaid they said, the samsung intercept won't be so much worse than your 3GS they said...ok, it's $35 a month but the damn earpiece was busted out of the box and I thought it was my network the whole time.

I hope best buy will let me exchange it and the process of switching my number to a new phone won't suck too bad.

Tomorrow I'm going to get a 60" Sharp LED TV with a TV stand that should total another $2500 $:-\$

Not really used to spending money like this but this stuff should last me several years.

I'm also going to build an awesome PC, which might cost $2000 since I want to have a two monitor setup.

I have to do this soon...not thrilled. I still don't feel like I should upgrade my ~4 year old HDTV because the only new things seem to be 3D or webtv stuff and stuff I don't care about. But I'm weak

I don't own a single piece of furniture so I had to start from scratch. So I bought a sofa, a bed, an L shaped computer desk, and a nice computer chair. The bed was the costliest item ($1600) but it felt great and is definitely a step up from the $99 mattress that I bought 5 years ago.

I only own a 24" 720p LCD TV (which is nice) and I want to go almost all out on a TV. I heard good things about the Sharp LEDs on AVS (I originally wanted a 60" plasma) so I decided to jump on that instead. I'm going to an electronics store to see my options up close.

it's kind of obnoxious because the first two films were released on one disc and then months later the third was released standalone so that package is two discs for three movies. It still looks damn good. The second film suffers the most from time and HD, though the third is improved. Excellent Kaiju all around.

My wife and I had to buy everything earlier this year, too, and it was about the same as you spent. $2500-$3000 really isn't all that bad to completely furnish an apartment.

Ended up getting a 42" Panasonic LCD HDTV (IPS panel) for the living room. Looks great and was only $500.

HP-something or other-- a new printer/scanner/copier/fax/whatever. technology is getting to be too much for me. it comes with a feature where I can upload photos from my phone, and when I get home, it's already printed and waiting for me. and it has a screen with apps...there's a crayola app to print out coloring outlines for children. and when you print, the screen folds out and a plastic bar swivels out to hold the printed page; when you take the page off the bar, it automatically retracts. AND it automatically prints double sided, which is partly why I bought it because my old broken pos printer had me physically replace the page each time.

like $150 and the guy gave a $50 rebate, but online it seems to be going for $200 to $250

I bought it yesterday because I urgently needed a printer, and bought it because it looked cool (like if the Atari 2600 style was modernized) and the guy said I could print double sided. I was planning to upgrade because I also needed a scanner and my old one could only print...slowly.

Phantasmagoria 1/2 are the only Sierra games I never played as a kid because my parents wouldn't buy it for me because it was R-RATED ADULT game with sex and violence and apparently a rape scene. So I've always wanted to play it to see what I missed out on. Only took me like 17 years to get around to doing it, but I will play them soon!

Already played those in the past. Great games. I think I played some of the mainline Ultima games because I recognize the screenshots, but I don't remember which ones. I do remember UU being my first dungeon crawler though.

Will check out the others! I played Little Big Adventure back in the day but my memory is hazy as to if I actually finished either one. Will see how familiar they are when I play them.
