Yeah, that was my introduction to them, at Beer Belly. It was a great evening. They had the W-IPA on tap, and without knowing its alcohol percentage, I had 3 pints. I just finished the second bottle of that tonight; you can see the first one is missing the cap in the pic. Nipponia is being saved for a guest at our xmas party.

Myself, my fiance, her Mother, and her ex all chipped in and bought a PS3 and some games for her kids, and she got the PS3 today. I was worried that she was waiting to the last minute, but now I'm glad she did because the 320GB Uncharted 3 bundle at Best Buy came with a $50 gift card and the Uncharted Greatest Hits Dual pack. I unboxed it and put my PS3 account on it, currently downloading all my previous purchases for them. Between that and all the games from the B2G1 Gamestop sale they're gonna have a kickass Christmas (better than any I ever had, that's for damned sure

). I made the suggestion thinking all of us would be broke (I am) and by kicking in together we'd come out looking like heroes for not much money each. I thought those kids weren't gonna get much and this way at least they'd get something really nice to share, but the last time I was over at her place there were mounds of presents for them under the tree, and the PS3 and games are still at my house. Spoiled rotten

This includes EVERYTHING from the old Laserdisc that used to sell for $500+ on eBay. The only change was that they moved the 45 minutes of storyboards out of the main 3 1/2 hour documentary and put them into their own separate feature as Jackson explains on the disc that having to step through them on the LD in the middle of the documentary annoyed him.

big step-up from my HTC Thunderbolt. Android 4.0 is def pretty awesome.

it all just looks and runs much more smoothly. Though I do miss the HTC kickstand

I visited Gamescape North in San Rafael. It felt SO GOOD to see a shop still stocking lots of tabletop RPG books and supplies. I would be hanging out there a lot if I lived nearby.

Now to find/buy/print out the FUDGE rules.

These just looked like fun. I waffled between this and the Harrow Deck, but hey.

FINALLY -- iPhone 4Steve, 32GB, went with Verizon for service. In, out, getting the working phone in my hands took 10 minutes. Super stoked.

also got 150K to gear up for my undergraduate and graduate studies. Double minor in CS/BioEng with a major in Mechanical Engineering. Now for the fun part of life where I get to stress the fuck out for the next 6 years or so. I haven't been back to school for 4+ years now.

Already got accepted for a coop for next year as long as I keep a 3.5 gpa. That will help go a long way if they offer to help recoup some of the loans I'm taking out. Thankfully most of them are grants and government money, no third party suck you dry loans.
