Also I'm pretty sure at this point I now own more Vita games than I do 3DS games and that's with owning two 3DS systems and the 3DS having a year head start. Vita games skew more toward my tastes I guess.

I just got Shinobido 2 in the mail. The Vita boxes are so small yet too big for their purpose. I open it up and there's a tiny game cart; no manual or anything.

Lack of manuals is a long time coming but totally lame. Especially in Japan where you would always get nice thick full color manuals and now absolutely nothing

I don't mind because there are digital manuals now. I'm just saying that it could be even smaller. Cases tend to waste so much space. For CD sized games, I would've rather they been the size of DS cases, or like a jewel case but less shitty. Or even just how much thicker a PS3 case is than a blu-ray case. I liked those Japanese gamecube cases. And it's not dissimilar to the DS cases, but those had GBA slots.

This is definitely the most meaningless thing to whine about.

I tend to purge a lot near the end of a platforms lifespan- knocking it down to the core 'essentials' then I kind of mothball it all until I feel like looking at it again. I've eliminated so many collections in the past only to regret it later- so I compromise

Sure. It's just impossible to GIVE STUFF AWAY here. Everyone is so fetishistic about perfect game boxes and such....I don't give a shit and don't even want money for it, i just feel weird throwing it in the trash. But that's what I usually end up doing.

I gave away the Wii - best day I can remember in recent years. A friend was over borrowing some books, saw it in the cupboard, asked what the deal was and I thrust it into his hands and bundled him out the door before he could refuse. What followed after that was like the bomb scene from the 60s Batman tv show

Yeah, my kids really wanted a Wii, and they turn it on about once a month to play Super Mario Bros. Wii and yell at the youngest one for ruining their game. In fairness, playing with a 6-year-old can even make Lego Star Wars challenging.

Wanted a better semi auto/auto AEG airsoft gun, but my budget was around $100. This one retails for $180, but Amazon had it for about $100 and extra clips are easy to get for it. So I ordered one with four additional clips and 5,000 rounds of .20 BBs and I'll have it in time for another 200-person war on Sunday.

Acer Aspire Revo 3700

Basically a Mac Mini that runs Windows, for use as a media center for the living room and back-up work PC. It runs Win7 64 bit pretty well, does 720p great, and 1080p fine depending on the format/file size (still tweaking). It runs REALLY quiet and is very inconspicuous.

Going to try a USB drive XMBC Live install next I think.
