Went a bit crazy this week on the spending. But I needed to get some stuff.

Fastest damn router ever, went from 32mbps to 68mbps and the wireless range is amazing.

Smart scale that connects with Fitbit

And of course two Fitbit's to go with the scale.

I've already climbed the worlds tallest recorded Dinosaur today now I'm going the height of the empire state building.

Also got something for the car since I got popped for using a cell phone via speakerphone. Love the BT stuff in this and it made my stock speakers sound better. But now my fronts are out doing my rear's so I gotta put some kicker's in the back to balance it out.

What router is that? It looks tight.

I got the ASUS RT-N66U a couple weeks ago. It works well but the interface isn't as smooth as Cisco's. Also, I expected the 5ghz signal to be stronger. It's better than my old WRT-610N but not by much. Maybe I just need a range extender?

Its the netgear R6300 its a fantastic router with a full suite of applications so you can control it from your smartphone/tablet/pc. I've found the Net Genie stuff is the best software of all the routers I've tested. It's smart too and actually know's what each device is which is nice especially since we have ip camera's all over the place and just about everything is wireless. The range is the real deal I used to have that specific ASUS model but found the range lacking so I went with the Netgear N600 which gave me better range. But then I set this baby up and it's like night and day. Area's I was getting 20% signal are now getting 90% signal. And that's still using 2.4ghz wifi N.

My wife's Mini Cooper broke again yesterday so I got fed up and told her she's getting a new car. We're just going to turn the Mini into a weekend car for her since it's so damn fragile. So we got her a 2013 Ford Fiesta. Unfortunately there were no standards anywhere in the city so it's an automatic but we got a great deal and it has all the new perks and shit...

It's an SE. We couldn't find an SES in Houston either. Apparently there are only two other Fiestas in Houston (told this by multiple dealerships). And finding a manual would have taken even longer so we said screw it and got it. My wife loves it anyways. It's a fun little car.

US$125 for high-mileage oil (someone tell me this is a crock, please), and oil filter. Declined all the other stuff.

My used Subaru's oil light came on while driving across the Santa Cruz Mountains on Hwy 17 --- Not where I want to see a service light blinking.

On the bright side, apparently my crap oil or oil level or something was affecting performance; the car is running much better than before.

Actually, it was $55 for the oil and filter, and then some other stuff. I cannot for the life of me recall what the additional money was for. I think it was another $55 for maybe an air filter, and $10 for the oil disposal? Crap. I'm just guessing here. I was so panicked about the oil lamp, I was just like "Yes, yes! Do it! Fix my car now!"

Great choice dude! I had them make me a reinforced bike, such an easy company to deal with. I had worked out the trouble area's and they worked on it for me without much extra cost.

Did you end up going disc brakes? I did and its such a great improvement. Not as dramatic of a stop allows you to slow down when going down hill without being thrown over the front fork. I'm working on climbing endurance near the santa cruz mountains took highway 9 last thursday had the missus follow me just in case I couldn't make it, I made it all the way to the boardwalk!

The family and I had just trekked out to this big bike shop and I couldn't find anything quite right, though the Louis Garneau models they had were the closest. The wife was getting stressed so I just said fuck it and got something that looked cool. Reading the manual now

I live in the city so won't be doing much serious biking on it I'm afraid...unless i get the bug and start taking it on the train out of town etc. It's actually kinda tempting.

if they are in the center of the tire they are disc based if they are above the tire and clamp they are not. You should definitely take it out for a spin in the hills. Your legs might not thank me but your bike will.
