well, this one was an arsenal, kitted out exactly how i wanted, m4 style stock, quad rail up front, hogue grip, recoil buffer, erythang. OH and did i mention it came with six quality out the ass russian and bulgarian mags, and all for 1400? because it did. pretty crushed right now.

the price on high quality ak's hasn't gone up all that much really, a brand new arsenal cost 900-1100 before the crazyness began. now a piece of shit chink WASR goes for a grand, this was a killer fucking deal and would have made me set in the shade drinking cold ass lemonade on the rifle front, my brethren.

holy shit broians, my day is officially redeemed, not 20 minutes after my last post i check another gun shops inventory page and it says they've got a new arsenal in, when I got there it hadn't even been put on the wall yet, and still in the shipping box all slathered in glorious oil from the factory. I got a milled receiver sam 7, this is a top tier rifle, the best you can get. it almost like it hasn't sunk in yet that I'm an owner. this thing is solid as a rock, pics don't do it justice.

luckily i got 500 rounds of 7.62 before the craziness began (got it for $109, now it goes for $378

). So I'm gonna go shoot it this weekend at the range, in Maumee they have a nice new range called shooters that is the only place from Detroit to Columbus where you can shoot a rifle indoors. Right now I'm just having fun rocking mags in and looking at the craftsmanship, a milled receiver means it was carved out of a solid block of steel, most AK's are stamped from sheet metal.

It's just that you need to practice very regularly to maintain your aiming skills and at that price your not going to be able to do it very often. I understand that he wants to give it a try, but wasting hundreds of dollars on ammo seems like a waste. You do have a point about comparing it to other hobbies though.

don't know if you caught the part where i said i bought the ammo at pre panic prices, so its not like i'm blowing hundreds of dollars. my cousin is gonna give me 200 rounds the next time i see him (he mainly shoots ak74's which are 5.45 x 39 aka the poison bullet from the russian afghanistan war)

the prices will go down, 7.62 is the most produced caliber in the world I believe...

as for bb guns i can and do, have an old crossman with a 4x scope on it that i shoot when i go up to the cabin in michigan, cant shoot it where i am now though.

Eh. I don't shoot very often and my skill doesn't seem to deteriorate. But I guess it depends on your definition of often. I go shoot maybe a half a dozen times a year. But I tend to go nuts when I do taking every gun that I own.

There's a pretty good heap of movies on there, as well. The selection changes though; stuff disappears, so beware, and watch stuff instead of assuming it'll be there forever.

Also, if you travel much, even PURCHASED videos, not Prime Instant Streaming, but theoretically Stuff That's Yours Now, will not be available outside the USA.

Worse is how they are handling subscribe and save customers now. So say you want to get into a subscribe and save deal, Amazon will tell you when it will ship. Then all of your other S&S stuff will ship on that date. They no longer offer you the convenience to change when things come to you with S&S. You used to be able to tell amazon that you were low on something and they would ship it earlier, but no no not anymore.

Also Amazon has started to use the USPS for some things from prime. They aren't like UPS or even Fedex with packages. They just throw it over the fence or worse bend up my comics and shove it in our mail box. Which end's up costing Amazon more cause I'm not spending money on bent up shit!

I hate to bag on Amazon, but their changes over the last few months have really soured my experience with them. Things that were once easy to deal with now require a lot of hoop jumping. They also question me far too often on my returns with USPS. What more can be said if something is not in new condition when it arrives, I want a new one.

Not only is it not big enough for packages, but it's not even locked cause the USPS just leaves it open cause of packages and mailers spilling out. When you find your w2 half a block away cause it was blown out of your mailbox that ain't cool.
