Recently I bought a Nokia 521 and a Nook HD+. For being some of the cheapest options in their respective categories I am very happy with both

The Nook HD+ screen is good and the build feels solid, a little heavier than I would like. The google play integration seems flawless and I haven't had any issues buying, downloading or updating any apps (even installed the kindle app

). I grabbed a few games and they all run fine. The nook interface could be faster and it takes a second to open the app drawer instead of the split second I imagine the Nexus is. Minor complaints aside its a great tablet for $150.
The nokia is nice also. The camera is much better than I expected (which probably says more about the smart phone cameras I am used too rather than the quality of the camera itself). Windows phone has a slick interface and all the nokia apps are top notch. I really like Nokia Transit (too bad the buses never run on time

). The app store could be better but otherwise its probably the best phone under $150. I never liked the cheap $99-$150 android phones I've tried. I mean if you have the money might as well go with the Nexus 4/5 but I'm pretty happy with my purchase
I wish windows phone had a great podcast app though. After some online research I picked the best reviewed app and its still pretty shitty.
