I have 2 Samsungs and think they are great. Last week, I helped hang a 50" vizio in an office at work and was pretty impressed with it. I always though vizios were walmart trash.

UPS doesn't usually deliver larger sets. Freight shipping usually will do it. They're a lot more careful.

Samsung is great. And I wouldn't go less than 40"

ordering on amazon is fine and yes they do ship all tvs that way. just got my 50" the other day from them. also i'll add in extra votes for samsung and 42"+. anything smaller is just for like a small bedroom or something.

when calibrated correctly they can look great, but side by side with a samsung/etc you can tell the difference in the black levels

oh and fuck a 32", had one for years and got a 40" for xmas and I could never go back, even in my tiny room. for a living room I would go 50+

I got a Changhong LED 50" LED 1080 TV for $350, people clown the name, but shit is nice especially I calibrated all of the settings brehs...Pretty much best deal ever.

I only spent $21 on it. For that price I think I'll enjoy the graphics. I've also liked the other ones enough.

Since we got our 4k Samsung a few months ago I've been in desperate need of a new sound system to get rid of my home theater in a box we had. So I went ahead and bought a bunch of stuff to get into the 4k mood.

Ended up with this setup:

Bluray player: Oppo BDP-103D
Receiver: Yamaha Aventage 730 7.2 4k receiver
Speakers/Sub: Definitive Technology Pro Cinema 800 5.1
Cables: Monoprice 12 gauge 100 foot spool, 24k banana plugs, 6 hmdi cables, and bunch of wire hiders to hide the cords.
Misc: Theater curtains for our living room window. Sound dampening foam sheets for the ceiling and speakers.
Extra: getting rid of this piece of this piece of shit that isn't working.

I should have everything before this weekend so I know what I'll be doing. Can't wait to get my first noise complaint

Thank you Obamabucks! I didn't owe shit this year after some careful deductions and itemizations.

Get low-profile ram. The heatsinks on those don't do shit and only get in the way with coolers. Won't matter if you have one of those Corsair watercoolers, but in case you don't (you're not going to use the stock cooler, are you? <.<), something like this will be A-OK:
