The backbone of the story was familiar. The way in which it was told was mesmerizing.

For you.

And for the vast majority of those who saw it. And for the critics who vote on the Golden Globe awards. :smug

Avatar worldwide gross:

Domestic:      $491,767,000        30.7%
+ Foreign:     $1,110,401,000       69.3%

It's the Golden Globes, Willco, not the Golden Jesusland.

It's the Golden Globes, Willco, not the Golden Jesusland.

Also, the conceit that the foreign press has any real bearing on the Golden Globes - as if it is not entirely American-run and operated for commercial gain. :rofl

My personal pick would've been Collin Firth in A Single Man, but Jeff Bridges was awesome in Crazy Heart.

Jeff Bridges did win... for best actor in a drama!  Crazy Heart isn't a comedy, duder.

Uh... yeah? I don't know what you're trying to say.

I saw Crazy Heart. Bridges was really good in it. A DRAMA.

It's true. Borys' questionable taste was settled long before Cohen and I opted not to see Avatar.

Trolling Avatar is #36 on the list of Ways to cope with the depression of the dream of Pandora being intangible.  Just staying.

Yeah actually, my friend mentioned that the movie smacks you in the face with it's subtlety.  Fuck dude, the most important thing (to you) for a dramatic movie was the cinematography?

And borys, jewboy watched the movie weeks ago.

And why was brandnew banned?

BrandNew isn't banned, and I have never seen Avatar.

So Patel paid to take you on a date to see avatar?

There's two things wrong with that sentence.

... We don't go on dates, we just sip wine and watch IFC. And as if he ever had to pay me. :-*
