And that makes it an rpg?  RPG's are about character to npc interaction, as in actually playing a role wihtin that world of a game.  It is if anything more fo a JRPG than a WRPG for that fact alone and yet it doesnt fit into A JRPG becuase it doesnt even have much npc interaction.  It is a game equivalent to diablo in 3d however if you belive Diablo is really an RPG i guess you can call that an RPG.  It is an injustice to game that are true rpg's however like Fallout and Baldurs Gate however.

I'm nuts for Kingdom Hearts but Epic Mickey looks disappointing as all hell right now. You know what made Kingdom Hearts awesome? The ORIGINAL voice actors and amazing recreations of the movie's worlds with authentic music and animation. Even the live action Pirates of the Caribbean meshed remarkably well with everything. You can tell it was a labor of love with a pretty solid gameplay base underneath.

Right now, all we've seen of Epic Mickey is a down-syndrome Mouse running around something out of an N64 game. That could all change at E3 when it gets shown off more, but right now I'm skeptical.

I don't think it's true any longer (if it ever was) that console games have to be aimed at a younger audience than PC games and THAT forces you to make different design decisions.

And I still don't see the huge difference in playing a game on a TV, in a living room, while sitting on the couch as compared to sitting inches away from a computer monitor somewhere else in the house.

though the UI decisions we made clearly benefited the console version, we made no decisions that we thought would compromise our core gameplay. And we would have made the same decisions even if the game had been PC-only.

You're right of course, but it's sort of a 'degree of difference' sort of thing with Warren based off his comments-if he was passing down the ten commandments on stone tablets to the rest of his team I'd feel way more uneasy about the product than I would if it was someone who was a bit more sensible/realistic in their interviews/articles in recent years.

Invisible War took a flying leak on a lot of the things that were really cool with Deus Ex, such as large environments and, damn it, inventory stuff. I was so excited about that game, too, and even bought into the "oh there will be no compromises just because we're squeezing it into a shittydumbshit system" bullshitcrap.
