i will be using it for most games, only using the ps3 for exclusives and such
xbox live is a killer app...i miss it so much because i love online shooters and multi-player.  it's so well-integrated and so many great features and you really feel like you're in an online community rather than psn which seems very detached

some questions...
1. what are some of the best arcade games to try since fall of 2008? i think that was the last time i owned xbox or maybe before then
2. what kind of wild accessories can you put on your avatar? i know they cost money but idc.  anything animal-related? and what of the pet chicken from dragon age? any other pets?
3. what are some of the best community games to try? i'm sure there's probably a ton of these now so i'd like to narrow it down
4. who will be my friend

1. Trials HD and Shadow Complex are the two best XBLA games in recent history.  Trials is a physics based platformer/racer and Shadow Complex is a Super Metroid ripoff.
2. You can buy Halo suits and crap like that.  You can buy little pets, but they don't have any Chow Chows.
3. The best community games are the Arkedo platformers.  They are stylized retro platform games.
4.  You can add me.  My gt is archie4208.  I only play casual games like Rock Band though and my gold is running out in a week and I'm not renewing.

Trials and Shadow Complex are $15 each.  Shadow Complex takes about 5-6 hours the first run.  Trials has like 35 tracks and a bunch of minigames and there is a DLC expansion add on for $5 that nearly doubles the tracks.

Some of the new games (like L4D2) are shipping with Avatar unlocks for your avatar. But not many games have this yet.

The multiplayer aspect is much more enhanced for 2 in my opinion. its much harder than 1, even at lower difficulties. Sadly, not in a good way.

while there are more weapons to use and more types of infected, the helper AI, on normal, is just fucking ridiculously stupid. In one level, you have to run the track of an old school wooden coaster. Zombies rush the thing the entire time and force you to rush or be overwhelmed most of the time.  What do your AI teammates want to do? Hang back and move as slow as possible, trying to take out every wave of enemies. That works in most cases, but not on the rushing parts of the game. This also caused a problem in another level that required you to rush to grab something and go back to a previous spot. (example is the run to the warehouse wall in the demo through the mini maze of fences and stuff)

Also, the AI is usually stupid about grabbing health and pills and such.

I have yet to have an AI grab anything other than pills, or a healthpack if they are in the red. They refuse to touch a defib unit. Usually, if u need them to carry some pills or something and u have adrenaline or such, u have to go to the pills, swap it out, toss it to them (usually they use it even if there is no need) and grab ur item back. With healthpacks u usually have to shoot them down to red for them to grab it.


Versus is still fun. There is a realism mode I havent tried yet.

But honestly, it needs a patch or something for the player AIs because they are dumber than shit. The ones in the first game are much smarter than the ones in 2.  The infected AIs are still pretty good though.

1. Shadow Complex, 'Splosion Man, The Maw, Castle Crashers, Bionic Commando: Re-Armed, TMNT Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, Sam & Max Save the World, Sam & Max Beyond Time & Space, The Secret of Monkey Island, the Wallace & Gromit games.

2. They've added a bunch, but among my friends the most popular ones seem to be the lightsabers and Assassin's Creed uniforms.  There's a pet section, but nothing too varied so far.  There was an exclusive Chocobo pet but you need a code to get it.  You can now actually win avatar accessories through a few games.  Download that Halo experience thing, you'll get a free Halo accessory.

3. They're called XBox Indies now.  The Arkedo series, I MAED A GAME WITH ZOMBIES IN IT!!!!1, there's a really cool Japanese Dodgeball game...uhhh, there's quite a few things.  Be careful to avoid the non-games, though.

4. I don't play multiplayer stuff usually, but if you get Battle Fantasia I'll play you to get the multiplayer achievements lol

Totally forgot every single game on Live has a demo (PSN :sick)...that's just beautiful. Can't tell you how many times i've passed on psn games simply because there wasn't a demo...it's just ridiculous not to have a demo

Btw, i don't even have any friends added to my list and i already feel more part of an online community than i ever have with psn.  There's just something different about Live...it's so well-integrated.  It's absolutely glorious
