Someone got ahold of the arcade version ISO, dumped it, and wrote a loader to get it working on PCs. Crazy!

They really should be releasing Continuum Shift on PC, PSP, and in Europe. It's pretty dumb that they waited all this time to release the game in Europe anyway.

If there's netplay added to this, then you better believe it's gonna fuck up PC sales.

The arcade version has less characters than the Wii version, too.

And hey, KOF '98 UM for 21,000 yen is not too b-- oh wait, it's $20 on PS2.

That Type-X2 hardware is the same board Continuum Shift runs on. I wonder if any other games will be similarly ripped and emulated from here on out.

I played some of this and soon found out that diagonals don't work with my stick. Otherwise it runs flawlessly. Guess I'll try using Xpadder or something later on.

Did you get any errors about there being an empty disc drive when trying to run it? That's what I keep getting. When you did the config, did you hit return when it asked to map a new drive?

No errors, and yeah I hit Enter when it asked to remap the drive. Dunno what the problem could be, I'm not particularly good with computer.

Huh. Nobody on the chans seems to be talking about this problem either, but there was one guy with a MacBook Pro saying it ran too slowly on his, so even if I get it working AND it actually accepts my shitty integrated card, it's pointless on this computer. Oh well, will try at a friend's house.

This is the next iteration of the console version. Two new characters (Tsubaki and Hazama) and a bunch of balancing tweaks (Nu has been replaced with Lambda, a weaker version of her), etc.

but the arcade board running this is just a pc in a box running a special version of XP. I wonder if someone will hack the other games so that they all work using that method

But what else is there that's out right now without a home console port? Does Arcana Heart 3 run on Type X? Cuz if anyone deserves this shit happening to them, it's EXAMU after their fucking awful PS2 AH2 port.

I saw a post saying that Samurai Shodown Sen had also been dumped. That game is a total piece of shit though.

Type-X is about to become the next Neo-Geo. New games are gonna be dumped and playable on PCs right when they hit arcades.
