I must admit, it is an amazing and surreal experience so far, and the games haven't even started yet. Walking through Whistler, seeing crowds of Vanoc members, members of various Olympic teams, international media, and yes, hundreds of on and off-duty cops. (it's pretty easy to pick us out

)

It pretty much is going to be a definitive once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On the radio they were saying that the track was covered so that no one would fly out. That track doesn't looked like its covered at all

So I'm about 100 miles from the opening ceremonies, but NBC won't let us watch it live. FUCKERS.

Still pissed that CBC lost the rights to the Olympics to CTV (we get CBC HD here in Seattle, but Comcast doesn't carry CTV).

I have never watched the winter olympics past snowboarding/skiing in my entire life.

I guess it's because like, I have played with snow maybe twice in my life. Snow and ice and winter sports just aren't a part of my culture and never have been. Damn you southern living!

I'm hating the winter olympics because not only do I not get Chuck for two weeks, I don't get Community or 30 Rock either. Fuck the Winter Olympics! Summer all the way!

During the Chinese Olympics they cracked down on anything the rest of the world might call unsavory and I was wondering if the Canadian authorities did the same.
