Disgaea - di... ehy wait a second this one is called disgaea! it might be the lamest version of the game but it's still freakin disgaea,it would be better to play it elsewhere but ehy the chance is there
The World Ends with you - this is probably the most awesome game coming from square since the last three years,unless you absolutely ABSOLUTELY hate nomura,you have to get this,it got a somewhat decent plot,an awesome soundtrack

an original battle system which is played entirely with the touch screen (actualy it's the touch screen AND normal controls but the big of the action happens on the touch screen) and the most kickass new game + feature since ever

the Dragon Quest Remakes - decent stuff,5 plot is pretty different from your average rpg and you also get to recruit monster pokemon style,4 is as standard as rpg get but it's not like that's a bad thing
the Final Fantasy Remakes - 3 is good fun,albeit can be sometime obtuse (why my thief deals more damage than my fighter???) and it has the worst final dungeon ever. 4 is... well it's final fantasy 4,you probably played it on a variety of other platform,it's the same game just in 3D,not a big fan of it
Knights in the nightmare - no! it tries to desperately be original but it just fails,besides it's getting a psp port
Etrian Odyssey 1/2 - good if you like dungeon crawler,they have some balance problem (certain jobs dealing much more damage than other jobs,certain powerfull weapon obtainable way before you should be able to use them) but otherwise it's good stuff
Shiren the wanderer - seriously i pimped this in two other thread,don't let me pimp it again
Chrono Trigger - i haven't played the DS port,but you should if you have never played chrono trigger...  :'(
Contact - it's decent but it's really short so i would say it's not worth it
Nostalgia - combat sucks,the plot is... well think a cliched plot,well it's even more cliched than that! but the visual just reminded me so much of old psx rpg i finished it anyway,i'm weak 
Mario & Luigi RPGS - they aren't bad but averagish
Avalon Code - crap
Sands of Destruction - crap
Dark Spire - horrible,horrible,horrible
Suikoden Tiekresis - so bad i bet even himuro doesn't like it

Actually, Tierkreis isn't that bad. It's actually a decent rpg. The problem is that it has the name SUIKODEN on the box, which is enough to make me pop a boner.

It's not good enough I'd suggest it to the non-Suiko fan but  it's also not Suiko enough to suggest to a real Suiko fan. It's middle of the road.

Damn, Contact, I really liked that game.  But its sooooooo flawed.  Definitely something I would recommend as an experience, but it depends on your tolerance for what's a essentially a grab bag of interesting but underdeveloped mechanics.  The game itself feels unfinished, like they ran out of content and its almost impossible to fully develop your abilities/skills.  Considering that finding a copy in the wild would be difficult, this is something I recommend you check out by less legitimate means.

well i don't swoon over it like i do with say,final fantasy but yea i definitely like suikoden,one thing i don't understand is why people dislike 3,i always tought it was decent and i really liked the skill system,it gave variety to the system! finaly you didn't just gave lightining rune to everybody who could use magic (plus one or two water rune for healing)

SaGa 2 remake? Haven't heard anything about a US release of it yet (sadly). 7th Dragon sounds sick, I am a Kodama fanboy of course, but there are rumours of a US release. And I highly doubt that Four Warriors of Light won't eventually make its way to the states...

Definitely see if you can track down a copy of Tengai Makyo: The Apocalypse IV for Saturn. I assume you can read Japanese and don't mind playing RPGs in Japanese... but it's turn-based, very goofy/wacky-jappy and it's pretty damn inexpensive too. One of my favorite RPGs on the Saturn.

I liked Izuna I thought the random dungeons was nice. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Lunar, but it wasn't all that bad. Dark Spire was shit in a cartridge.

I should add that the typical JPG stories don't bother me, so I can overlook those. Horrible play play however I can't.
