Aren't Japanese gamers more skeptical of DD in general?  CDs are basically dead in North America, but isn't Tower Records still thriving in Japan?  Isn't doesn't seem like they're ready to eschew physical media as soon as it is happening in Western markets across all media.

Some people are saying a PSN release is pending.  I can't confirm it.  And no one has said it's got the same kind of protection as KH either; it seems to be a big hit already though, so you'd think people would be all over cracking it.
