I really liked it. The overarching story wasn't as engaging to me but the subquests were cool.
Also, I really dug the combat in this game (as unforgiving as it was). Lots of exploring, interesting enemies. Just don't go in expecting D&D levels of customization and depth but in a way that's why I found it a bit charming (its very straightforward in some cases).
It sounds like a weird comparison but I feel as though this game is like some Eastern European Zelda or something. You'll be scouring the island for secrets and stat increasing herbs. Sometimes little nooks you've looked over will have something interesting etc.
And I agree with Himuro on playing it on the PC, this game is supposed to be straight booty on the 360 (visually and as far as how stable it is).
