I got to try out how the gameplays since I'm working on it and all, it has potential but I'm kind of pissed we didn't go with the 2d contra route.

When I heard the idea for it I figured this kind of a game was a no-brainer, and then they said top-down shooter...

The Undertaker is still wrestling?  Damn, I thought he would have retired by now.

Undertaker is probably going to be retiring within a few years. But unlike a lot of older wrestlers that have become a disgrace as they age yet keep attempting to wrestle Ric Flair, the Undertaker has just kept improving without letting his injuries slow him down, which is pretty impressive. Shit, he was probably at his best in 2008-2009.

Who else but the Undertaker could not only get up from this, but continue on and have one of the best matches of all time?

The reason why he and a bunch of other old timers aren't, is because without them nobody would watch the WWE or TNA.

This is true to an extent. WWE has been desperately trying to create new stars for a while now, but they haven't done a terribly good job. There's still some new-ish guys that are pretty great though, like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and The Miz. They also have a lot of talent that they do not utilize properly as well, like Christian and Evan Bourne. And Zack Ryder

That being said I haven't watched much wrestling since Shawn Michaels retired.

Dammit bore, what should I do?

I have resisted upgrading my PS3 firmware because... well I don't really know. I have a Wii with USBLoader and it's the best thing since sliced bread, no more dicking around with disks after the initial install, vastly improved loading times, amazing interface, and so on. If the PS3 could ever become like that I'd hate myself for upgrading now and locking myself out of this. I haven't really followed the scene though so I really have no clue how useful all that hacking has become.

On the other hand... Borderlands GOTY. That is, these fuckers just repackaged the game and added a voucher for the DLC. No firmware upgrade, no PS shop; no PS shop, no DLC. No DLC, no real incentive to play through the game again.

So, what should I do? Tell me what to think! 

...seriously though, is "homebrew" on PS3 worth it for a law-abiding gamer? I kinda miss being able to play Wipeout online, too.  :'(

Dear diary,

Sweet merciful crap on a stick.
That took entirely too much time.

Nobody told me that all the Borderlands DLC amounts to about 4 GB of data. Thanks to PS3s awesometastic installation speed on top of the blistering fast download and nearly instantaneous installation and patching of the original disc content I wasted much of my gaming time today. Since it's four distinct DLC files I wasn't allowed to just dl/install everything in one go. I had to babysit the console through the entire process.

Even better, my German PSN login wouldn't let me download the DLC. I had to make a friggen UK one just for that stuff. 

Ah well, at least the game's fun.
I even managed to die to the third enemy in the game. That's gotta be some sort of record. 

TL;DR: Should've bought the superior steam version.

That game had massive potential, too bad samus wouldn't shut up about babies and the art direction sucked with little to no soundtrack. Sakomoto is fucking hilarious, weaboos kept crying about retro "ruining" the franchise and kept talking about how sakomoto will save it and shit and give it back to him  

And now everybody wants Retro back

Even ignoring the whoring out of Samus, the fact remains that when they started doing so the quality of the games started dropping (around 2003/2004, after Prime 1 was released). These two issues may or may not be causally connected. I kind of don't care by now.

All I know that the last truly superb Metroid game were Metroid Prime Pinball and maaaybe Fusion, which both don't feature a stupid sexy Samus; while the rest of the post-Prime games do and fail for one reason or another (they may be good games, but nothing more). Hell, she even tainted SSB Brawl.

Speaking of that, I played the SW:TFU2 demo last night. It's more of the same, but the graphics seems more fluid than I remember.

I can't remember if they've got the Stormtroopers-holding-hands middleware in place this time, but the Starkiller-moving-sick-fast portion of the engine is running very nicely. Not sure if I like the easy use of Clone Wars technology to explain the reappearance of Starkiller, but I am mainly fretting because I liked the story in SW:TFU 1 better than any of the prequel movies.

Oh let it be known that I LOVE Metroid. There's nothing I want more than the series to get justice. I'm thinking something with the polish and level design of Super Metroid and the creepy cold ambience of the first Metroid.  I'd be sad to see it die too but I'd understand why it had to be put down.

I've never heard of that series. I assume it's like Way of the Samurai, except with ninjas? WotS 3 is fun, but the side missions are preeeeeetty boring. Other than that, I likes it.

The Shinobido games are basically the "real" Tenchu 3.  Don't know all the details, but Acquire made Tenchu 1&2 for the PS1 and when the PS2 came out they had the Way of the Samurai series.  The Tenchu games were still made, just from other developers.  Shinobido was Acquire making a new stealth ninja game towards the end of the PS2 life (there is a PSP game too, both are in English in Europe).  Then Acquire came back and made Tenchu 4 and it was very different from past Tenchu or Shinobido games.

Besides that, Colours actually looks decent. Doesn't seem like much of a Sonic game, but it looks like something that I'd play through.
