So they are releasing new ACBrotherhood DLC... and one of the achievements for the DLC is to 100% sync the -main game- and the DLC.

iNiS might be free from karaoke purgatory!!!!!! :o

Now that the MS shackles are finally off, it's time for them to save the rhythm genre.

O, GOD PLEASE LET IT BE TRUE. Inis made one decent DS rhythm game, and then COMPLETELY messed up on Lips. Repeatedly. I hope MS is giving it to someone else, and Inis can go back to making tiny games that may or may not be great, but at least won't be anything I play.

Quote
EA Games label president Frank Gibeau told CVG that the Mirror's Edge franchise is unequivocally not dead. "I greenlight the games. I did not kill it -- as God is my witness," he swore. According to Gibeau, the publisher is looking for ways to bring back the franchise in "a way that fans will be excited," while still reaching a larger audience. "We need to go from version one to version two so that it sells two to three times as many, it finds a much bigger audience."

DICE, developer of the first game, is currently working on Battlefield 3. According to earlier reports, EA requested that the developer focus exclusively on that game, instead of a Mirror's Edge sequel. A EA spokesperson later commented that Mirror's Edge is an "important franchise," but there was "nothing further to announce."

I think when DICE is done with BF3 and ready for another project, EA should just challenge DICE to accomplish what they're asking for. I think they're an accomplished enough developer with a clear view of the industry to make Mirror's Edge more marketable.

EA's new strategy of never making a single player game again could even work with Mirror's Edge. A multiplayer race mode would be awesome.

You can pick up replacement cases/etc on videogameinstructionbooklets.com

But they are so pricey you might as well just keep your discs anyway.

I like that there's no hud.

Seems very timing based as there's only one attack button. If they can put a nice variety of different weapons in, combat shouldn't get repetitive.

Hopefully the controls are tight. I don't wanna navigate tricky platforming sections if the jumping mechanics aren't decent.

I got a Top 10 list published once. I can't even remember what it was about, but I'm sure it was one of the best ever.

Actually, I do remember. It was Top 10 games for the SegaCD/32X. I don't remember what games I picked, but I'm pretty sure Panic! was close to the top.

This is hilarious.  They just patched Catherine to dumb it down in every way possible because I guess they got A LOT of complaints that the game was too fucking hard  :lol
Everything from a new "SUPER EASY" difficulty level, to items now lasting 2-3x longer, more retries, etc.. etc...

I've never seen a game get rebalanced so quickly, lolol

I'm pretty early in the game so I haven't noticed the OMFG HARD yet.  But this patch should make it easier to keep playing on normal.

I hope they didn't nerf Catherine's difficulty too hard. All I'd want them to is fix the distinguished mentally-challenged retry system and the load points (so you don't have to skip through dialogue and cutscenes to play the level you just failed). Keep the high difficulty as-is.

I was just watching YOS.K (a renown STG super player) play Catherine, and yeah it does look pretty challenging. And really fun too! Don't give in to the babbies, Atlus.

You do know that there are Japanese PS3 Wizardry titles, right? They're PSN based, but Acquire compiled them into a retail release earlier this year.

Wizardry is still a popular series in Japan, where there have been about 20 different games since 1991 up to present.

Only one actually got released in America:

Are there a lot of licensing issues in the States now that Japan owns it? I've always wondered why Atlus hasn't taken a chance on the PS3 Wizardry titles.

Quote
When Wizardry was first introduced in Japan, the lack of available information as well as a low quality of translation led to the game being far more seriously interpreted by Japanese players due to overlooking in-game jokes and parodies. For example, in early games Blade Cusinart was introduced as "a legendary sword made by the famous blacksmith, Cusinart" as Cuisinart and its food processors were virtually unknown in Japan and thus its meaning was misinterpreted. However, this misconception appealed to early computer gamers who were looking for something different and made the Wizardry series popular. Conversely, the fourth game, The Return of Werdna, was poorly received as lacking the knowledge of subcultures necessary to solving the game; Japanese players had no chance of figuring out some puzzles

Apparently Playstation Plus members now get 'cloud' saving.  150 MB of online storage space or 1000 saves.

That's pretty cool if you have more than one PS3.  Since I only have one, I want to sign up depending on how it pans out for PSP2 stuff.  Even so, just playing games at a friends house, it would be nice to just sign into my account and have all my saves there.  Right now I have to put it on a USB stick and carry them over.

I don't even know how much Playstation Plus costs.  Is it just $50 a year like the xbox? but I don't pay for Xbox online stuff.  damnit I'm entitled to all this stuff for free! Nintendo is the only good company about online because they're still stylin in the 90s.
