I was pretty meh on Meat Boy... didn't like the floatiness of the controls, nor do I like the unlimited lives, lots of checkpoints style of platformer design very much.

The floaty controls I can understand. It takes getting used to. Lives don't matter when dying makes you start the whole level again, and Meat Boy doesn't have check points. That's kind of the point. You play the level until you've mastered it and get an A+ or pass it period.

I'm not sure how lives/checkpoints factor into it when you're required to start the level over every time you die. Lives in platformers are also a waste of time and redundant. In Mario games, when you run out lives, you start at the beginning of the stage again, anyways. Which doesn't really mean anything because you're going to do it again anyways. Super Meat Boy isn't that type of game. Its difficulty is consistent. More than that, the stages that DO have checkpoints have iives: warp stages.

Pc port - if you play it in full screen the frame rate is out of whack so you have to play it in windowed mode. Ten minutes. Wow, way to make us take you seriously. Again. That new Xenoblade game takes the cake for the worst art of any game so far this gen. It looks horrendous.

Captain Toad looks like a great game to just pick up and play for 10-20min bursts. Can't wait to get my hands on it

there's a postmortem on Titan on Kotaku or somewhere that actually makes it sound like more than just an FPSMMO and also sheds light on why it would've never worked. WoW is one of, if not the most profitable game in history, you can't just churn out a ordinary sequel to a game that was extraordinary in every conceivable way. It's smarter that they just keep dropping expansions, but even that can't last forever.

Whatever, Diablo 3 might as well be WoW 2, game is everything good about that crack-like loot grind delivered faster and harder. Especially since they added seasons. If only there was a huge interconnected world filled with players like WoW's overworld, that would close the gap right up.

Can you even imagine what the story/lore would be like for Warcraft 4 anyway? Players have been killing straight up Gods in WoW for awhile now. The only shit left is to straight up fight The Burning Legion/Sargeras. You know the dudes who kill entire worlds and trillions of lives throughout the universe. Guess anything is possible with time travel and alternate timelines though.

Between two low powered GPU's all devs can really do is slap a extra coat of AA on the PS4 version if both are 1080P or the boner version is a step down in rez to 900P (Which looks slightly blurrier) or so while same settings are preserved. Problem is Sony sold them on 1080P 60FPS and how powerful the PS4 was before the start of the gen that any "Well they will look like the difference between PS3 and 360 versions. IE Not much" talk is immediately "parity", "Moneyhats", etc.

Stanley's gonna stan. Yoshida will be probably banging in bish's trunk as he drives off the bridge by the end of the generation.

Lost World was pretty shit, but this looks Sonic 06-tier of entertainment. Not so much Sonic Blast GG or Sonic Labyrinth, but Sonic 06 is an acceptable comparison.
