In other news, the Braves won again tonight, improving our last in the East record to... just barely better than the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This is like the point in the first Major League movie where the Indians have shown a little life but the Japanese ground crew say "they're still shitty".

He redeemed himself after last night's debacle. No idea what they're going to do with Bruney. Burnett and Walker have settled into their roles, Batista is our mop up guy, Clippard looked good and Capps is Capps. Slaten is still unknown, but I like how he gets up and in on guys. Bruney was supposed to be the guy, but his control is all over the place.

I like Bernadina. If he and Desmond start hitting with consistency, it'll make the season a lot easier. Desmond is clutch, though.

This is basically Washington's Opening Day (I don't think the Phillies fiasco qualifies), and I am hoping that the energy from Strasburg's promotion will kind of spark the team. They are not playing with the same energy they were playing with a month ago. I don't know if they're tired or what, but I feel like the team has been flat the past couple of weeks. Maybe this is what they need.

I also think if they're going to re-sign Dunn, they should do it now. He's reaching and I think he's lying to everyone when he says that his contract is not on his mind. If the team is on the fence, just trade him for an outfielder or another pitcher, then go chase a free agent.
