G.I. Joe was nowhere near bad enough to be nominated for this. The movie was actually pretty damn entertaining.

I'm pretty sure Jon Voight didn't star in Transformers, but rather his likeness was used for a character that was computer-generated by ILM.

I liked GI Joe. It was a fun action movie that didn't take itself too seriously and didn't let up for more than a few minutes total to bother with lame things like "story" or "character development".

It felt like I was watching Transformers 2 all over again when I went to see G.I. Joe. Such a snoozefest.

I left the theatre before it finished.

Yeah, only Michael Bay could stop Stephen Sommers from winning the coveted "Worst Blockbuster Based on a Hasbro Toy Line" award.

I'd like to think that 2012 at least delivered on its promise of destruction porn, whereas patrons were forced to sit through two hours of Shia LeBouf and the three lamest Transformers wandering a desert before we got to anything approaching entertainment.

Have you seen GI Joe, Willco? I find it hard to believe that you could enjoy Transformers 1 and not like GI Joe, the later is basically the former but without all the lame jokes and attempts at character development.

I haven't (and will never) seen either Transformers movie, but I refuse to believe it could be worse than 2012

G.I. Joe is abysmal, and isn't even the mildly entertaining popcorn flick that Transformers is. But hey, Avatar.

Mostly correct, except Batman Returns, Hellboy and Transformers. I can see how you can get confused, though - y'know, Avatar and all.

Batman Returns is terrible, dude. Watch it again. It has no story and either horrid or completely over-the-top acting from everyone.

Sounds an awful lot like Avatar.

:rofl are you fucking serious? there was absolutely nothing remotely entertaining about transformers while G.I.Joe is a movie that knows exactly what it is and embraces it, it doesn't try to be something else like both transformers movies did with embarrassing results.

Never seen 2012, but what was so bad about it? Everyone I've spoken to seems to loathe it, and it's got a 14% or something on RT.

wtf? If you think Shitformers is better than GI Joe you are fucked in the head.

GI Joe totally owned.

WTF is with "popcorn flick" as a defense anyway? A film is either entertaining or it isnt

I stopped paying attention in the Oscar thread after people started typing up huge troll posts based on the underlying assumption that I cared about Avatar losing out to The Hurt Locker.

I mean, if you actually believe that I was butthurt about The Hurt Locker winning, a film I fucking loved and have recommended to dozens of my real-life friends, I guess you would think I got destroyed. But that would be pretty stupid, and I couldn't really care less if you do.

The bit about me going to Peru and trading clean drinking water for sex from underage native girls was pretty funny. I chuckled. Touche, Ichi-san.
