Summer Sausage, a nice slice of good smoked cheese, some horseradish (or sweet and hot) mustard, on a savory cracked pepper or roasted vegetable cracker, for me. MMMmmm. I love getting those baskets from Hickory Farms (or elsewhere) with all the gourmet cheeses and meats, and a nice flavored mustard, with those little strawberry candies scattered in the basket. Good stuff to nibble on when I'm watching It's a Wonderful Life for the 100th time, or listening to Mickey Rooney's scratchy Kris Kringle voice in Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town.
I'm not too into sweets, generally, but I do like those cookies made with butterscotch morsels and Chow Mein noodles. And fresh gingerbread cookies (no icing, too sweet).
