We're staying in the Yanaka ginza area of Taito-ku, super short walk from JR Nippori station on the Yamanote line. Stayed there on our
honeymoon and loved it.

We're in town from April 4th through the 13th. Since we're going to the Giants game, we're not going to the Swallows-Carp game, one is enough.

Sorry, we've been out all day. Hung out at Shinjuku Gyoenmae... OMG. Did Meiji Shrine. Walked from Harajuku to Shibuya, took a bunch of "Where's Nic?" shots of me running around Shibuya crossing. Then I did an Akiba run on my own and bought lots o'shit I didn't need while Em went to Fabric Town in Nippori.

MLB Cafe actually would be PERFECT. We need to go there anyway to get my father-in-law one of their fancy painted baseballs. We're staying in Yanaka really close to Nippori station, but we'll meet you guys anywhere you want. Em wants to hit up a flea market that morning before the game, but we should still be able to meet for lunch/brunch. And yes, we're free for dinner and boozing after the game. Some place with good (western or Japanese) bar food and drinks would be perfect after the game... again, we can go somewhere else, doesn't need to be near Tokyo Dome. Our Suica cards are all charged up and ready to be used some more.

If dinner and drinks in the evening is definitely on, the magic combo of Barbacoa for food and Baird for local brews in Harajuku sounds might good. We could definitely skip on the pre-game eating/drinking if that was waiting for us.

Either way, yeah, sadly MLB Cafe was probably a better idea on paper than in reality. How about we just meet up somewhere the Gundam family wanted to take a look around anyway, and shop/eat/drink as we see fit?

I'm a little dizzy this morning, but aside from that I'm feeling great.

We had a blast last night with everyone. Baseball, massive quantities of beef at Blacow and Barbacoa, microbrews at Baird and then following Chin into the heart of Kabukicho to end the night.

Thanks again, we truly appreciate everyone giving us a Tokyo experience we'd never get on our own.

So imma be in Japan from the 24th-4th, I believe. Tokyo is at the end. Looks like we will be there on the 3rd and 4th, but probably not much time to do too much. Are there any new attractions that have popped up in the last year or so worth checking out? All we really have planned is to just hit up nerd places like Aki and Nakano Broadway, clothes shopping, meet my wife's friend at her swank FUCK I'M JEALOUS ARGH AWESOME CONDO, and maybe go to Ueno Zoo.

Also, seven hour layover in Hawaii on the way back. I wish I could trade up Tokyo for a stay there for a few days.
