Personally, I couldn't give a fuck about HD formats. Ice Age 2 in HD? No thanks, I'll stick with my DVD-only titles (plus, Criterion isn't coming over to HD for awhile)...

Somewhat related, but I just watched High and Low (1957) last night.... OMG

One of Kurosawa's best, and probably (imo) his best non-samurai work.

Can you believe the MSRP for High and Low (a truly barebones disc -- not even an insert) is $39.99?!

Nah, its not greed, it whats needed to keep Criterion afloat. Hell, they've almost died a few times. Why do you think they let Michael Bay's films into the collection? Sales.

I used to be DVD for life until I saw one of my favorite movies in HD, Goodfellas. Now I don't give a fuck who wins, I just want more HD movies *drool*

I really can't tell much a difference when I watch a movie in HD on HDnet movies or something.

That's because most of those are compressed or just upscaled. Wait til you see a good HD DVD or Blu Ray. Mind jarring
