I don't know, ever since getting into photography I've been happy with daylight being moved beyond non work hours. The preliminary adjustment to it is shit though.

I have no problem with longer daylight hours in the evening. It's the adjusting of the clock that's ridiculous. If you want the daylight shifted into evening from morning, just let it be so and be done with it.

1-4 are better in the dark. 5 is either/or, but it's not like the light makes the food taste better

Anyways, I went to get Carls Jr. this weekend - decided I was going to finally end it all and get one of those Breakfast Burgers. I start to give the dude my order, but he cuts me off with a sad "sorry sir, we stop serving breakfast at 10:30". I actually got upset (surprises galore) and said "man it's only 10:15" but he corrected me with a "sir, it's daylight savings time! It's 11:15!" And then the whole store erupted with laughter, topped off by a little kid kicking me in the balls. True story.

I like DST but I have such an irregular sleep schedule that it doesn't really make a difference (slept from 6 to noon this morning).

I remember that Muslims loved it for making prayer times more manageable.

I'm working a 40 hour a week job with some overtime, learning a few new songs on guitar every week, writing at least a few pages of a novel every week, taking martial arts and dance classes on the weekend and working out pretty regularly, and I still have time to go get krunk on Friday and Saturday nights.

I hadn't considered a cot until last night but it was exactly what I was looking for all along.

I prefer getting sun at midday, so it's best to lay completely flat as opposed to propped up in a beach chair. Also, you should be able to tan your back as well, so rolling over and laying flat on your stomach is easier in a cot than most beach chairs.

The cot will also serve a dual purpose because it's a lot more versatile than a beach chair. Everyone can use a cot, plus I got a really heavy duty nice one that will be a better portable bed than most mid-range air mattresses.

Last season I just laid directly on the ground on a blanket but the cot will enable me not to have to be on the lumpy ground, killing the grass.
