I'll pick up Xam'd blu-ray after the price drops a bit during a sale.  Liked, but didn't love, the show.  Plus I paid like $130 or something already to watch it as it aired every week.  Thinking back, that was kind of a ripoff since you didn't actually own anything.

His mech looks feminine as fuck. :-\

Shut 'yo mouth! It looks like something out of Five Star Stories. It's easily the coolest part of the show.

Pre-ordered Gundam UC vol. 2 and Xamd volumes 1 and 2 on Blu-ray this morning. :rock

Doing my patriotic duty to PAY for anime. Mecha HD goodness. :rock

I was actually preordering Vanquish this morning and wanted to throw UC vol2 in, but Amazon doesn't have it up yet  :'(

Deal with it.  Hunter X Hunter fans have breaks that last months and years, not like two weeks or whatever you guys cry about.

Hmm...a large box from "Anime King". No one watches the devil's cartoons in this house, I wonder what this could be.

Mio Akiyama? Name doesn't ring a bell, but IIRC, K-on is some kind of giant robot fighting show.

Ah, it's one of those pedophile action figures! She's kinda cute though, I guess I'll keep her.

Thanks, MCD. :D :D :D I know it's actually not the one I was going to get but after much contemplation, I decided that this one was moe-er and I could cover the extra $10 for that. Although, not the moe-est, which would be the one where she's wearing a maid outfit and doing the "Moe Moe Kyun!" hand gesture.

I'll just add that one to the ol' wish list for now.  :-[

I preordered it with RightStuf. They don't charge sales tax for Washington state customers (Amazon does), and they almost always get things way before release dates and ship them out.

Texhnolyze had one of the worst endings ever. Also, Ergo Proxy is like Texnolyze but better. So there you go.

I'll elaborate because I feel like it:

-Texnolyze's ending makes no sense at all and is thoroughly depressing
-The characters are mopey and largely emotionless, nothing to hang on to at all
-Motivations are largely nonexistent or purposefully obscured
-The show is drab, dark, bleak, and depressing from start to finish
-The last few episodes descend to a level of incomprehensibility that I've rarely seen before outside of obscure, arthouse cinema

What the fuck is Star Driver? I don't watch mecha just because it has mecha in it. I watch mecha because it's either cool and awesome (Giant Robo, Gurren Lagann) or has a good story (Gundam, SDF Macross). I don't watch or play mecha stuff because I find giant robots are awesome.

So basically, I never had a mecha license to begin with.

Eh. If ZoE2 doesn't tickle my pickle nothing will. Though, robot designs are often very very cool, I'm never really swayed to play or watch something just because it has giant robots. Different strokes. I'm mostly all about story no matter the genre and if we're talking about games, I have to consider the game fun first. I think Dynasty Warriors Gundam is fun, but not because it has giant robots, but more so because it involves one of my favorite anime series and is fun to play.

It's BONES + UTENA

It's like Persona 3 except the schoolkids ride in their persona mech and fight in the galaxy or something.

I'll look into it when it airs.
