K-on!! ended. Went as expected and last ep was nice, but not a GREAT ep. Show's powerful ending ep was really ep20 with their final performance. This was just wrapping up the rest of slice of high school life.
Overall S2 was ok. It was much more a slice of life anime than S1. It's not really about anything, just about these girls going through their last year in high school and everything that comes with that. I find the pacing of slice of life shows kind of sleep-inducing, so wasn't a huge fan, but it had some nice eps for sure. I think if they do a S3 in college it'll be a lot more interesting because college is much more non-standard for anime. Would be even more interesting if college meant co-ed classes and the show can introduce the dynamic of MEN into the show. There's always a disconnect when these girls are writing songs about Love when the show gives no indication that they've ever felt that emotion in their life. A romance angle in a college S3 could help that.
Now on to FALL SHOWS in a few weeks, yay. I still need to watch the Eden movies, Diebuster and the 2nd half of Durararara before then.
