Panty show - not for everyone (I think its stupid) but even if you dislike it, it's worth 20 mins of your life each week just to appreciate the art/animation.
Star Driver - pacing is episodic monster of the week, but awesome action/mecha and eventually like every super robot of the week show it'll get really good before it ends. Plus it'll be in SRW one day so it's good to watch.
Sore demo machi wa matteru - best comedy. Nonstop hilarious after the first 2eps which are less funny because they setup the plotlines.
Imouto show - entertaining. It's not artistic, it's not offensive, not bad, but every aspect is competent so it's enjoyable in the same way Densha Otoko was enjoyable because it focuses on real world super nerd culture.
Jellyfish Princess - ok. I don't like the art designs much (too shoujo), but it's entertaining and not dumb or offensive.
Arakawa under the Bridge season 2 - I'm still watching S1 but the show is great, so unless it gets bad S2 should be good as well!
Super Robot Wars OG2 - no this isn't actually good anime, I'm just listing it because I like SRW!

Previous 2010 shows you could always watch if you haven't seen:
-Tatami Galaxy - best show this year
-Angel Beats - it comes off as generic at first, but it's actually pretty neat
-House of Five Leaves - can't vouch for but I heard it's good
-Katanagatari - can't vouch for but the source material at least is by a great writer and the art looks kind of like Okami meets Gainax.

The sore demo thing is another one I have planned to check out.

I'd follow their RUUURURURULES if you know what I mean.

A bit of good stuff this season. Next season doesn't look as neat but the awesome Hourou Musuko aka Wandering Son comes on. Plus Supernatural,Fractale(which has 2 chapters of the manga out) and couple of others look cool.

Ika Musume - Probably the closest thing we'll ever get to a Yotsuba anime. Episode 5 was another great one, Part C was :'(.

Soredemo Machi - One of my favorite Shaft/Shinbo series. See, it doesn't cram too much information and gags onto each second of screentime, it doesn't have too many characters that aren't that funny, and it's doesn't try to hard to be "artsy". Most of the series is just Arashiyama being a total idiot and Moriako slowly becoming insane because of her. Love this show.

Good lord, Gundam Unicorn episode two was gorgeous on my big ol' HDTV. I thought the cocktease at the end of the first episode was bad, but this totally blew it out of the water. Can't wait for episode three in March.

the biggest problem i have with the show is that it's supposed to be a guy who rationaly explain magical stuff (which is what that layton/wright game should be about) but in reality this happens in the whole series... what.... twice? instead they spent most of the time having dragon ball z fights and having random plot threads popping out of nowhere

Ore no Imouto was probably my favorite anime of the season after the first couple of episodes, but I've kind of grown disinterested in it by episode 5 and am struggling to work up the desire to watch episode 6. Meanwhile, shows like Soredemo Machi, Panty & Stocking, and Ika Musume really seem to be hitting their stride and going from decent fun to genuinely good shows around the same time and I am at the point where I can't wait for the next episode to drop.
