it's not like you need to know that much... the 1st season is basicaly "somebody gets murdered without reason but it doesn't really count because....." and that because and the reason of the murder are what 2nd season is all about

- Nothing moe.
- Nothing ecchi.
- Minimal blushing.
- Good story and characters.
- Good art style.
- Mecha would be a nice bonus.

Edit: Finally, if you consider all the above and come up with something please compare it to Legend of the Galactic Heroes, an anime I've been meaning to watch for a very long time but haven't yet.

Uhm, does anyone remember the name of that site that contains detailed info about subbing groups for each anime, the groups' rating, encoding and containers? I'm trying to find the right version of LoGH to download.

For LOGH there is only one group, Central Anime.

They are currently replacing the old laser disc version they subbed with new dvd remastered ones. 54 out of 110 episodes done.

I was very happy to find out that Panty & Stocking is gonna be 26 episodes long!   

Decided to catch up on some of the massive anime backlog. 

Ore No Imouto should really be called "My little sister is such a disturbed, fucked-up little bitch, why am I doing anything for her?"   The main character is way too good a brother to his sister, who has to be one of the most unlikeable characters I've seen in some time.  I've watched it up through 10, and the best episodes have been the ones where little sister isn't the focus or is barely there.  There seems to be a running theme that the "normal" teen-model girls are all really super-bitches and the otaku are the good people, but it doesn't work and pretty much everyone except for the main character and his neighbor girl(friend) comes off as weird/mental.  Kirino needs a huge punch to the face.

The anime series is animated by Gainax and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi, began airing in Japan October 1, 2010, and is expected to have 26 episodes. The series' animation is done in a distinct style resembling and homaging North American cartoons, much different than Gainax's previous works. The series also has a lot of sexual themes in each episode. Following the broadcast of Imaishi's previous project, Gurren Lagann, the show's staff went on a trip for rest and relaxation. At that time, they aired their opinions to each other under drunken and humorous circumstances, saying such things as "Next time, I want to try this" in regards to approaches to animation. Almost all of the concept for the anime was made during the initial trip; the names of main characters, 'Panty' and 'Stocking' were coined at the very first meeting. The theme of the anime is 'vulgar and indecent jokes', with Imaishi saying, "If we are going to do this, we will try it thoroughly."[3] The series' musical score is composed by Taku Takahashi of M-Flo. The opening theme is "Theme for Panty & Stocking", performed by Hoshina Anniversary, and the ending theme is "Fallen Angel", performed by Aimee B. The original soundtrack will be released on December 29, 2010.[4]

I can't wait until the anime market finally fucking dies in America & Japan.  It's one industry that needs to completely be erased so they can start all over from step 1 and make a profitable market where they can sell at competitive prices.
