Second half is about the boy and his sister and how he runs in and catches her naked.  So now that we have all type of fetish fanservice present, including incest, you wonder what will happen next? well the episode preview seems to bring in bondage.  If you're into that stuff, maybe check out Freezing.

Paging Mupepe. Mupepe to the anime thread, please.

Gosick was alright.  It's basically Pheonix Wright/Layton the anime starring Murasaki from Kurenai.  The period piece setting should be nice and the art/animation/direction is usual good Bones quality.  My only real complaint is that the Murasaki voice actress is playing the exact same role here and it feels very played out "guy takes care of high pride, low life-experience loli"

Madoka Magika was pretty awesome.  Definitely will be the big show this season.  Shinbo+Shaft doing their fucked up artsy take on Card Captor Sakura = good times.  While I'm sick of lolis being the star of every show out of Japan anymore (the way USA is getting more and more conservative combined with Japan getting more and more loli makes me thing in another five years it'll be illegal to own anime in the US), juxtaposing lolis with psychodelic messed up imagery and violence leaves a striking impression.  The writer for the show has written some total insanity PC erogames iirc, so the plot could be pretty interesting.  The intro reminded me of X

Read Freezing and the anime fucked it up  :lol

Adding fanservice at points when there wasn't really any, enhancing some to ridiculous levels, etc.

He does the same action at the end but without the breast jiggling and crotch shot.

The manga makes the story ok as MCD (love the fighting since can be brutal as hell) but with how their doing the anime its gonna be arkward if they keep piling on such fanservice. :lol

plus its not really a harem either.

Second or third episode should be better if they handled the roof fight RAPE well.

I stopped reading after that because there weren't many chapters scanlated yet.

wow, the Haruhi movie was really good.

I want to watch the second season of the anime now.  I vaguely remember some weird way the episodes were played.

Surprised that it was close to 3 hours long and only felt slow in the last fourth or fifth of it.  The first half was definitely the best and I went from "I haven't seen anything Haruhi in a long time and I wasn't a big fan of the series" to "goddamn this is engrossing."

and I already own two different sets of FLCL on DVD and will still buy the blu-ray day 1 haha

Yeah, I was just gonna watch the first hour or so, but then the first hour passed and I just kept on watching. Really, really good and very engrossing.

Well, don't. The second season is ruined by the "Endless Eight" cycle, where a single episode is repeated EIGHT times with very minimal changes [like Groundhog's Day if the first 15 minutes of the movie were repeated over and over].

It was actually the next manga I was going to read and I had no idea they were going to make an anime adaptation of it.

It wasn't on any of the "upcoming anime lists" I saw.

Kore wa Zombie desu ka

I was going to say that this is yet another example of a show with some potential being utterly ruined, once again, by relying on fanservice, but...man. I was wrong! So wrong! The last couple of minutes make of for whatever annoyance was caused by the fanservice earlier in the episode. I couldn't believe they actually did what they did in the last couple of minutes. Blows my mind. Will definitely watch episode 2.

A comedy sci-fi series by the Hunter x Hunter guy?  Hmmmmmmm, will check it out.  I see the manga is only 16 chapters, so at least it won't be a huge 60ep+ anime series that I don't have time to watch.

that zombie show is pretty good

I actually don't think the fanservice was bad at all since it seems to be parodying mahou shoujo shows.  A lot of the fanservice that happened earlier in the episode was to give context to gags later in the episode.

That was brilliant.

Quote
The original Japanese language version of Angel Cop is controversial for its Anti-Semitic plot points. In the original Japanese, it is revealed that the Jews are the main threat to Japan's standard of living, and are trying to sabotage the country's economy and turn it into a dumping ground for radioactive material.

When Manga Entertainment adapted Angel Cop into English, they removed all traces of Anti-Semitism from not only the dub, but the subtitled version as well, instead an American owned corporation is responsible.

Here's some more Angel Cop stuff from ANN:

Quote
I have not been able to find out much about the history of Angel Cop, though it must be a strange tale, as there was a break of several years halfway through the show (likely an indication of funding problems), and the six-parts took a total of five years to be produced. As this is the first anime title I've ever written about that doesn't even have a Japanese Wikipedia entry, it can't possibly have been well-loved in its country of origin. This, despite a manga adaptation in Newtype 100%.

Strangely, some of anime's true all-stars came out to work on Angel Cop, including character designer Nobuteru Yuuki (Escaflowne, Paradise Kiss), animation director Yasuomi Umetsu (Kite, Mezzo DSA) and director Ichiro Itano (Megazone 23 II, Gantz). Itano loves his gore, as he showcased in his directorial debut -- the deeply upsetting Violence Jack -- and here he reunited with screenwriter Noboru "Shou" Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist. Twelve Kingdoms, Nadesico) to come up with this... this... act of pubescent nihilism.

To date, I have not heard either of them talk about this title or their reasons for making it, but most people would find their original intentions to be pretty offensive. In the end, it's discovered that the top levels of Japanese government have sold out to the Jews that took over America, and having successfully plundered Vietnam and Iraq for the sake of money, these Jews are going to turn Japan into Asia's nuclear waste dump.

Yes. That makes no sense, is patently anti-American, anti-Semitic, ethnocentric, Japanese imperialist, vile, and above all, dumb. But that's okay. The subtitle track on Manga Video's DVD tones this down a bit and the dub does away with it entirely. Us evil Jews Americans would never know the difference!

Fractale

It's from the director of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star, but it feels a lot more like Ghibli mixed with early Gainax than it does anything KyoAni. One of the best first episodes this season and a lot of promise for the rest of the series. It's certainly a nice change of pace, to say the least.

I think that's the show where the sister is all about incest and getting with her brother

it's called "Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne" or "how to get on the fbi watch list in 24 minutes"

Madoka ep2 was great.  The persona worlds are pretty awesome.  It's sort of like kuchuu blanko artstyle used in a mainstream persona-ish way.  Nice music too.

For the last 2 years or so Shaft's been pretty consistently good.  They've really come a looooong way from their startup.

Shaft's only going to be better this year:
