uh... i took choco parfait suggestion and got myself the chaos head VN and i got it running but when i try to install the translation patch it says this

if i try to run the game it runs in gibberish... help?

anyway i have another problem now,the patch needs a "unrar.exe" to run but my antivirus killed it because it said it was a trojan... what now? maybe i should get the translation patch somewhere else?

Get a better antivirus? MSE can be set to allow whatever trojan you need.

okay i disinstalled the whole game,reinstalled it,applied the patch again,now the game starts but when i pick "new game" it just reboots to the title screen

Wow, Gurren Lagann sure took a turn for the worse. It's still good but the drama isn't being alternated with comedy anymore.

It's anime. Any series/movie [excepting pure comedy or slice-of-life] that starts out fun and lighthearted will invariably turn Serious Business and grim-dark in the second half.

I really really like the first half of GL.  It's the traditional rise of a hero GUTS GUTS GUTS super robot show. 

The 2nd half is ok, but less good imo.  It's just a parody sci-fi robot show with BIGGER AND BIGGER and zzz enemies.  But, the final ep is fuuuuuck awesome and makes up for anything lacking in the half.

Monster or Paranoia Agent for mystery/drama, GTO or Detroit Metal City for comedy.

GTO is still the funniest anime ever.


Also, just bought the Rebuild of Evangelion blu rays from Amazon. I saw it was only $30 for the two of them, so I figured what the hell. Figured I'd actually buy an anime for a change.

full metal panic fumoffu is the best anime comedy series.

a good recent one is detroit metal city. if you like vulgar jokes, watch Ebichu.

If you want something with more relatable storyline on top of the laughs watch genshiken.

If you just want to laugh watch ping pong club, hare nochi guu and cromartie high school.

But the overall best anime comedy series will always and forever be...Fumoffu.

I want to rewatch .hack//sign now, and play all the games again.  Though, I never played the second set of PS2 games.  It's weird that I hate mmorpgs but a series about a fake mmorpg is interesting.

Yeah, I think Chobits was the first time I heard the band.  Chobits and X were some of the few good Clamp anime adaptations.
